Obituary: Frederick Eugene Darby Sineath, age 84, of the Hillcrest community of Carthage died ( 10, 2016) at First Hospice House in Pinehurst. A funeral service will be held on at 11:00 am at Summer Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Arnold Comer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm at Fry & Prickett in Carthage. A native of Moore he was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin Sineath and Catherine Ann Fry Sineath. He was a horse trader most of his life, but also was a retired truck driver and for several years operated the Hillcrest store. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Helen Robertson Sineath; son, Morris Eugene Sineath; two sisters, Nellie K Arnold & Ellen Lucille McPherson; two brothers, Boyd Sineath & Benjamin David Sineath. Survivors include his wife, Robin Jordan Sineath; two daughters, Laurie Marsh & husband, Gregory of Carthage, and Chrissy Ashburn of Cameron; three sons, Robert "Bobby" Franklin Sineath of Marshallburg, Ronald "Ronnie" Scott Sineath & wife, Annie Rose of Sanford and Benjamin "Benny" Lee Sineath & wife, Kat of Southern Pines; step-children John Alton McIntosh of Hartwell, SC, Hillarey Annette Gonzalez and husband Edwin of Vass, Jessica Nicole Barrera and husband Yani of Carthage; one foster son, John Richards of Roseland; one sister, Myrtle Blue Williamson & husband, Alex of Southern Pines; 10 grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren. A service to celebrate her life will be at 11:00AM at Calvary Baptist Church, Reverends Brian Taule and Tony Harper officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West . She was born May 26, 1916 in McAdenville, NC, Christmas Town USA and reared in Belmont, NC. She graduated from Belmont High School. Mrs. Sinclair married James Henry Sinclair 16, 1935 in York, SC and was preceded in death by her husband, mother Lula Mae Hope, father, James Elijah Watts, three brothers, Alva Watts (Hazel), Walter Watts (Louise), Marshall Watts (Velma), sisters, Lacy Brown (Guy), Lucy Brewer (Bill), Pearl Wallace (Henry), Lorene (Tommy) Reid, and several nieces and nephews. Her hobbies were making Christmas ornaments out of sea shells. She would hunt for these shells on every beach trip and was an avid beach comber.
