Obituary: Pfafftown Leo Sienkiewicz, 92, of Pfafftown, died , 11, 2011 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice . Mr. Sienkiewicz was born 29, 1918 in Erie, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents Karl and Mary (Tuszynska) Sienkiewicz and, in 2006, his wife of sixty one years, Sophia (Gordon) Sienkiewicz. Surviving family includes his daughter Susan Mary Sienkiewicz and his beloved grandson Victor John Sienkiewicz; Mr. Sienkiewicz attended East High School in Erie, Pennsylvania prior to enlisting in the United States Army Air Corps. He was stationed at Wheeler Field on 7, 1941 when Pearl Harbor was bombed by the Japanese and served as Master Sergeant until his Honorary Discharge in 1945. Mr. Sienkiewicz was the State Chairman for the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, North Carolina Chapter No 1. Upon leaving the service, Mr. Sienkiewicz moved to Lakewood, Ohio where he went to work for NASA as an aerospace mechanic for forty two years until his retirement in 1979. Mr. Sienkiewicz was also preceded in death by his brother Bill (wife Marie) of Detroit; and sisters Marcella of Milwaukee and Irene of Erie. Mr. Sienkiewicz is also survived by his brother in law John J. Gordon and his wife Dee of Kernersville; cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM , 16, 2011 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 335 Springdale Avenue, Winston-Salem (336-724-0561). Burial in Forsyth Memorial Park will follow, including full military honors. Family and friends will visit on , 15, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 Pm at the Vogler Reynolda Chapel, a Dignity Memorial Provider, 2951 Reynolda Road (336-722-6106). Obituary: Norma Jean Siemer went home to be with the Lord on 14, 2017. Norma, a resident of Pennybyrn at Maryfield was born in 1929 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of r and Katherine Garner. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Paul and Sam Garner and sisters, Evelyn Garner Boaz and Doris Garner Boaz. Norma is survived by her sister, Lorraine Zdvorak of St. Louis; MO; her son, Lynn B. Siemer and his wife Kris of Taylorsville; her daughter, Pam S. Whitney and her husband Pete of Greensboro; four grandsons, Lynn Siemer, Jr. of Hickory, Todd Siemer and his wife Mandy of Hickory, Brad Whitney of Greensboro, Ben Whitney and his wife Ashley of Annapolis, MD and 10 great grandchildren, Kyler, Coty, Corey and Camryn Siemer, Grayson, Tre, Cooper, Riley and Ethan Whitney and Declan Riddle. Norma followed Jesus all her life and though she will be so missed, her family is comforted knowing she is in heaven. A Service to Celebrate Normas Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. in Ilderton Hall at Pennybyrn at Maryfield Community , 109 Penny Road, High Point, NC 27260 conducted by the Reverend John Willett and Reverend Michael Owens. The family will receive friends on in Ilderton Hall from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Norma will be interred with private family services at Guilford Memorial Park beside of her late husband of 66 years, Bernard Louis Siemer, Jr. who preceded her in death on 7, 2015. Obituary: Bernard Louis Siemer, Jr. a resident at Pennybyrn at Maryfield died . Mr. Siemer was born 3, 1927 in St. Louis, MO the son of Bernard Louis Siemer, Sr. and Henrietta Weiss Siemer. He retired as General Foreman with Union Electric in St. Louis. Bernie joined the U.S. Navy during WW II, and proudly served in the Coast Guard defending the United States of America. He was a member of Gate City Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Marcella S. Hudson. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Norma Jean Garner Siemer; a daughter, Pam S. Whitney and husband Pete of Greensboro; one son, Lynn Bernard Siemer and wife Kris of Hickory; four grandchildren, Lynn Bernard Siemer, Jr., Todd Siemer, Brad Whitney, Ben Whitney and eight great grandchildren, Kyler, Coty and Corey Siemer and Grayson, Peter, Cooper, Riley and Declan Whitney. services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel conducted by Reverend John Willett.
