Obituary: Mrs. Billie Ann Teeter Settlemyre, 70, of Mt. Airy, passed away on , 17, 2015 at the Woltz Hospice in Dobson, NC following a brief battle with cancer. Born on 5, 1945 in Charlotte, NC to the late Thomas Edward Teeter and Marion Stancil Teeter, she grew up in the Hickory Grove area and later moved to Hickory, NC where she met the love of her life, Paul K. Settlemyre, whom she was married to for 53 years. later relocated to Mt. Airy in 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Michael Teeter and a son-in -law, Phil Brewer. Survivors include her devoted husband, Paul Kelly Settlemyre, sons, Wesley Settlemyre(Mary) of Charlotte, David Settlemyre(Lesia) of Bethlehem and a daughter, Kelley Settlemyre Brewer( Randy Parker) of Mt. Airy and her grandchildren, Samantha Settlemyre, Joshua Settlemyre, and Jessiaca Settlemyre of Bethlehem, Anne Settlemyre, Abby Settlemyre and Luis Chavez of Charlotte and Maggie Brewer of Mt. Airy. She is also survived by her uncle, Cecil Teeter, cousin, Nancy Coe Hall, sisters in-law, Ann Watkins and husband Grady, Brenda Walker, Glenda Gantt, and brothers-in-law, Bill Gantt and wife Pam, and James Gantt and wife Evelyn. A special thank you from the family also, to her sister in-law, Ann Watkins, for her devotion and support during this difficult time. The family will receive friends on , 20, 2015, from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. at Heritage Service in Valdese, with a private service to be held by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative , 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
