Obituary: Robert T. Bucky Sanderson, 88, passed away on , 20, 2015. Born 5, 1927 in Roanoke, Virginia, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Nettie Shifflett Sanderson. Mr. Sanderson was employed by Graybar Electric for 40 years prior to retiring in 1987. He is survived by his son Steve of the home, daughter Susan, her husband Troy McLean and their daughter Colleen of Durham, and his daughter-in-law Angela Stancil Sanderson of Clinton. He was preceded in death by his sister Fannie Lee Fraim, his wife of 60 years Mary Jane Leonard Sanderson, and his sons Gregg Anthony Sanderson and Michael Wayne Sanderson. Over the years Mr. Sanderson enjoyed fishing and boating at his beach house at Emerald Isle, listening to bluegrass music, watching old westerns, and building, fixing and organizing just about anything. In his later years, most of his time and energy went to the care of his wife and eldest son Steve. He was a good father to all of his children, but his love and devotion to Steve was admirable and endearing to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. , 23, 2015 at Brown-Wynne , 200 SE Maynard Rd, Cary. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Obituary: Michael Wayne Sanderson passed away on , 6, 2015 after a short stay at Duke Hospice in Durham, N.C. Born on 18, 1957 in Roanoke, Va., Mike moved to North Carolina as an adolescent and attended Cary High School and Wake Technical Community . more than 20 years working in computer technology, Mike followed his dream and moved into his 400 square foot cabin in Meadows of Dan, Virginia. Over the next 15 years, he said he had the opportunity that many did not - to live the way he wanted and enjoy his etirement years in his forties. Mike is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jane Leonard Sanderson; his brother Gregg Anthony Sanderson; and his much valued companions over the years, Will, Allie and Sawyer. Mike is survived by his father, Robert T. Bucky Sanderson and brother, Steve Sanderson of Raleigh; his sister, Susan Sanderson McLean, her husband Troy and their daughter, Colleen of Durham; and his sister-in-law, Angela Stancil Sanderson of Clinton. Mike will also be greatly missed by his constant companion and comfort over the past four years of his cancer diagnosis - Mable the Wonder Dog - who is now sharing her endless affection with Troy and Susan for as long as she is willing. A self-described ecluse, Mike spent a great deal of his time in the quiet and solitude of the Appalachian Mountains. He and Mable, however, were weekend regulars at Mabry Mill on the Blue Ridge Parkway, greeting tourists and spending time with the rangers and volunteers. also had many friends and fans in the towns of Stuart and Floyd and anywhere else they happened to venture. A graveside service will be held on , 9 at 3:00pm. The family will be receiving guests at 5008 s Rd. in Raleigh on , 9, from 4:00-6:00pm.
