Obituary: Fr. John J.Stochl S.J., Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on 6, 2016. Born May 8, 1924 in St. Louis to Marguerite and John J. Stochl. Dear brother of James, Thomas and the late Joseph Stochl. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Our Jesuit brother, Colleague and friend to many. Fr. John entered the Society of Jesus in 1941. In 1954, he was ordained a priest by Bishop Edward Hunkeler at St. Mary's in Kansas. Father Stochl spent most of his religious life ministering to the people of Belize, Central America as a teacher and counselor. Obituary: Bill Stober of Lee's Summit, Missouri, formerly of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on 7, 2015 at Kingswood and Rehab . Bill was born on 2, 1929 in Trenton, Missouri to Marie and Leslie Stober Sr. Bill and his family moved to Kansas City in 1941 where he attended Southwest High School. He served in the United States Navy at the Charleston Navy Air Base in Rhode Island during 1948 – 1949 becoming an “Aviation Metalsmith”. In 1950 in Kanas City, Bill met the love of his life Eunice Parks. were married 14, 1952 and raised one daughter and one son; Layne and Dale. Bill had a passion for cars and machinery. A perfectionist at heart, he wanted to know exactly how things were put together and what made them operate. This inquisitive nature and mechanical mind enabled Bill to have the capability to design and build anything someone wanted. In 1971, Bill and Vic Mathis, as co-founders, started LeVic Plastics out of his garage producing custom design plastic injection molded products. As the company outgrew his garage, it was moved to Grandview in 1973. Bill retired as President of LeVic Plastics in 1995 with plastic products not only here on earth but also on the moon. With Bill and Eunice’s strong faith in the Lord, they became founding members of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in 1960 where they continue to have a supportive church family. Bill was extremely active in the church with many projects that provided for the upkeep and improvement of the buildings and grounds. Bill is survived by his wife Eunice, Lee's Summit, MO, sister Sue Hansen, Kansas City, MO, daughter Layne McDaniel, Lenexa, KS, son Dale Stober, Phoenix, AZ, grandchildren Patrick McDaniel, Eugene, OR, and Kristyn McDaniel, Dallas, TX and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Floral Hills , 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd on 11, from 6pm to 8pm with funeral services at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church on 12 at 11am with a brief reception following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be directed to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 9420 James A. Obituary: Richard Glen Stoaks, 76, of Fulton, Missouri passed away on 8, 2014. Private family services have been held. Richard was born 16, 1938 in Portland, Oregon to Kenneth and Victoria Stoaks who preceded him in death. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, graduating from the Army Language School in 1959. A strong supporter of the Oregon Ducks football team, Richard purchased season tickets for over 20 years attending games rain or shine. his retirement as a CPA, he moved to Fulton in 2007 and enjoyed the many friendships that he had made while living here. He attended some Kiwanis events and had also attended First Christian Church. Richard will be remembered as a man with a generous spirit who was a great listener and was always willing to help others. He is survived by daughters, Denise (William E.) Crowe of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Sheri (Doug) Womeldurf of Anchorage, Alaska; adopted daughter, Mary Helen (Robert) Carroll of Fulton, Missouri; former wife, Edie Stoaks of Portland, Oregon; sisters, Marilyn (Jack)Soderlund of Chicago, Illinois, Julie (Jim) Bruno of Vancouver, Washington and Nancy Stoaks of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Nicholas and Ian Crowe of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. |
