Obituary: A Memorial Mass will be held , 11, 2014, at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption for Kena Monique Simoneaux, age 44, a lifelong resident of Franklin, who passed away 7, 2014, at Ochsner Baptist Hospital in New Orleans, following a lengthy illness. Private inurnment will be held at a later date. Survivors include her son, Keanan Ray Gauthier of Franklin; brothers, Aaron Simoneaux and his wife Nicole of Ville Platte, Marc Hebert and his wife Rhonda of Crowley; sisters, Stacy Hebert and Pat Muller of Austin, TX, and Wendy Higginbotham and her husband Boyd of Crowley; her father, Millard Simoneaux of Garden City; her step-father, Thomas Hebert, Jr. of Charenton, four nephews, six nieces, her maternal grandparents, Ray and Bertha Louviere of Jeanerette; and long time best friend, Marla Kidder Manzo. Kena was preceded in death by her mother, Mary L. Hebert; and her paternal grandparents, Gilbert and Lillian Simoneaux. Kena was employed at Cypress Bayou Casino for 19 years, in Cafe Bayou & Fresh where a she proudly served her customers with a beautiful smile and great conversation. Bowers (Joe), Connie S. Guilbeau (Val) and Cindy Simoneaux, 14 grandchildren, Mark and Heather Alleman, Douglas Smith, Kim S. Galante, Laura Simoneaux, Jason and Brad Rukes, Rochelle B. Pons, Kelley B. Perrien and Joseph L. Bowers, Valex and Ross Guilbeau, Cerissa B. MacLaren and Emily Bates, 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Philip H. Guillot and Elise Ledet Guillot, her six siblings, Raymond, Jesse, Lloyd and Emmett Guillot, Virgie G. Morrow and Pearl G. Fryou and two grandchildren, Michael Louis Alleman and Jason Joseph Bowers. Obituary: Harold Paul Simoneaux, 70, died at his residence in Prairieville. He was a loving father and grandfather who loved the Lord and enjoyed hunting, fishing, ceramics, family time, gardening, dancing, and reading his bible. He is retired from Bell South with over 30 years of service as well as a U.S. Army Veteran who served time in Vietnam and Germany. He was a volunteer Fire Fighter and a member of the American Legion, Jaycees and NRA. Harold is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Chris Diez; two sons, Brian Simoneaux and wife Andrea, and Dean Simoneaux; and their mother, Hilda T. Simoneaux; four grandchildren, Savannah, Trae, Ryan, and Julian; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Mike Cox, Kathy and Donald Palermo, and Janet and Don Breaux; one brother and sister-in-law, Howard, Jr. and Sherry Simoneaux; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by beloved wife, Carolyn Simoneaux; parents, Howard, Sr. and Stella Simoneaux; and sister, Sue Simoneaux.
