Obituary: Ethel Regina Sentilles died on 30, 2015 in Covington, Louisiana. She was born and raised in New Orleans, LA and moved to Covington, LA in 1957. She was 98 years old. Ms. Sentilles was the daughter of the late Amelia Klundt Sentilles and Charles U. Sentilles and the sister of the late Charles U. Sentilles, Jr.

Ms. Sentilles was a graduate of Sophie B. Wright Senior High School. She attended Newcomb and received her BA Degree in Science & and Physical Education from SLU (now ULL), graduating with distinction. She received her MS Degree from UCLA. She taught and Physical Education at McDonogh Senior High School for Girls, Nicholls High School, and Benjamin Franklin High School, where she also served as its Principal for half a year when it’s Principal died. Ms. Sentilles was the sponsor of the cheerleaders, Girls Athletic Association, Fly Twirlers, and the senior class of Franklin High School.

She did volunteer work for the American Red Cross prior to applying for service in the WAAC. In 1942 she was the 4th from New Orleans and the 12th from Louisiana selected to attend the WAAC Officer Candidate School. She served four years on active duty during WWII and was discharged as a Captain. She joined the Air Force Reserve and was recalled, by name, to active duty during the Korean Conflict, serving two years. Again she returned to the Air Force Reserves, serving 25 years. During that time she was the first of two women Reservists to attend the Reserve War and was the first of five women promoted to full Colonel from the Air Force Reserve. She served a total of six years on active duty and 25 years with the Air Force Reserves, returning in 1974.

Ms. Sentilles was active in her church (First Evangelical United Church of Christ) and was the first woman selected as President of the Lay Council in its 160 years history, serving three years in that capacity. She also served several years as a volunteer with the Women’s Guild of the St. Tammany Parish Hospital. As her arteries slowed and she could no longer drive, she attended services at Christwood and eventually joined the Episcopal Church there.

She loved to travel and those travels took her all over the world.

Survivors include several cousins.

Private graveside services were held on 11, 2016 and interment was at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum in New Orleans.

Obituary: Bryan Joseph Sentilles II, 30, entered this world with a loving family on 14, 1982 and went to sleep in God's everlasting arms at his home on May 25, 2013. He was a graduate of Ridgewood Prep High School in 2000 where he enjoyed playing football and baseball and continued his education at Southeastern Louisiana University with a degree in Sports Medicine in May 2007.
Beloved son of Patti Royerre Sentilles and Bryan Joseph Sentilles (Brenda). Brother of Brett Jude Sentilles and Bradley Jon Sentilles. Loving grandson of Elsie Lipps Davis and husband Hank C. Davis. Grandson of Frank P. Royerre and wife Rita Magnuson Royerre. Also survived by his uncles Frank S. Royerre (Debby), best buddy and pal Albert D. Royerre (Margaret), and Mark K. Royerre (Melissa). Also survived and dearly loved by several cousins Ashley, Lauren, Camille and twins, Rachel and Michael.
Bryan was also the grandson of Barbara M. Sentilles and the late Saar Jude Sentilles. He'll be dearly missed by Wayne Sentilles (Debbie), Terry Sentilles (Linda), deceased Ricky Sentilles, Robert Sentilles (Sheila), Nancy Sentilles Gleber (Johnny), and Penny Sentilles Abreo (Aaron) and many cousins Danielle, Wayne Jr., Jonathan, Kristy, Amber, Lauren, Christopher, Jimmy, Michael, Mark, Andrew and Grant. Thanks to Cookie and Joe Hood, Bryans good friends and neighbors.
Bryan loved his career working for EMPI, a DJO Global , which is a leading manufacturer and provider of non-invasive medical products for pain management and physical rehabilitation. Bryan enjoyed helping people recover from injuries and regaining their strength and health.
Bryan was a good, kind and loving person who enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and hunting. Every weekend he was with family and friends in Uncle Al's airboat or Granny's camp fishing with his faithful canine companion Maddox. Bryan was very passionate about sports and loved the Saints. He watched all the games and cheered them on every step of the way especially when Bryan and his Uncle Frank were in Miami watching the Saints become the Champions of Super Bowl 44 in 2010.
As a young boy growing up, Bryan played baseball with many teams \ Lafreniere Pilney Little League, Highway Park Huskies, Kenner Dizzy Dean Allstars, Kenner Babe Ruth Allstars, Legion Summer League, and the Ridgewood Eagles Baseball Team.
As one of his coaches once said, There wasn a ball hit in the outfield that Bryan could not catch. He put everything he had into baseball.
Son, thank you for your love, your kindness, your awesome spirit, your jovial attitude, your friendly demeanor and your ability to work hard at a job you cared about. Thank you for giving and leaving us with a lot of you in us. You were the most unselfish person and will be sorely missed. On this day, the day you left us to be with the Lord, this world, our world is forever changed. I think I speak for everyone that had the joy of knowing you that we have all been truly blessed to have known you. Rest forever more...somewhere over the rainbow.

Our mom went to heaven and received her angel wings on 3, 2013. Born 16, 1943 to Antoine Shine and Melba MabelBerthelot. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Malcolm Sensebe, her son, Anthony Tony Bourgeois and her grandson, William. She is survived by her loving children; Wadell Dell (Maria), Edwina Sissy (Larry), and Cynthia Cindy (Peter Williams, Jr.), her grandchildren; Antoine Twan (Kimmie), Shadi (Josh), Curt Brother (Laura), Leslie, Wadell, Jr. Lil D, Antoinette and Melissa, and her great-grandchildren; Antoine, Jr. BooBoo, Tracy Tripp, Wynter Diva and Jayden. Stepmother of Rodney Sensebe (Lauren) and step grandmother of Kelsey and Amanda. Sister of Tweet, Mel Mel, Yetta, Joyce and Denny Rae.
Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Sharon was a longtime parishioner of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Jefferson, LA.
The family would especially like to thank Canon Hospice, Dr. Helm, Angela and Tameka for their great care of Sharon.

Obituary: Warren L. Sensat, 51, passed away , 5, 2015 in a local hospital following a lengthy illness.

Warren was a native of the Sulphur/Choupique area and has resided in Dequincy for the last 8 years. Before his illness, he was employed at Arcadia Refinery. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Survivors include sister, Vicki Sensat, brothers, Rick Sensat, Thomas "Kiwi" Sensat and Larry Sensat, step-father, "Buddy" Thistrup, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Lance Sensat and mother, Marjorie Thistrup.
His memorial service will be held at 6:30pm, , 7, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial .
The Rev. Lloyd Parker will officiate. A gathering of friends and family will begin at 4 pm until time of services.

Obituary: Lloyd Lester Sensat, Jr., died 18, 2011 after a very brief illness. Lloyd was born in Crowley, LA in 1944, the only child of the late Lloyd L. Sensat, Sr. and Marcella Stagg. He was educated in Crowley, received his Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, Lafayette and a Master of Arts from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge. Lloyd served in the United States Air Force during the Viet Nam Conflict. He began his career as an arts educator in the public schools of Acadia Parish. He joined the St. Charles Parish Public School System in 1973 where he taught until retirement in 1999. He touched the lives of hundreds of students during 26 years teaching at Hahnville High School, R. J. Vial Elementary School, A.A. Songy Elementary School, and Lakewood Junior High School. He also served as director of the St. Charles Parish Gifted and Talented Program. Lloyd was an active member of the Faubourg Marigny Improvement Association, Louisiana Landmarks Society, National Trust for Historic Preservation, National Arts Education Association and numerous other organizations dedicated to historic preservation and education. He received national awards from the National Trust for Historic Preservation and was a Walt Disney Art Educator.
Lloyd is survived by his mother, Marcella Stagg Sensat and his devoted partner, Eugene D. Cizek, Ph. D., FAIA.

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 400 N. Rampart St. New Orleans, LA on , 25, 2011 at 1:30 pm. Visitation will begin at 12:30 pm until time of services. Interment will follow in St. Louis , No. 1.
