Obituary: Doris H. Schlotterer went home to join her beloved husband, the late Joseph F. Schlotterer, Jr. (Joe) on 21, 2014 at the age of 92. Doris was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was the joy of her life. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and traveling and spent the last four years enjoying life at Sunrise Senior Living of Metairie. She is survived by her four children, Cheryl Cabes (husband, Lee), Joseph F. (Jay) Schlotterer, III (wife, Carolyn), Kurt W. Schlotterer (wife, Peggy) and Beth Collins (husband, Kevin). Obituary: Warren Ferdinand “Pappy” Schlesinger, a lifelong New Orleanian, passed away peacefully at his home on , 21, 2017 at the age of 85. Warren was born on 28, 1932, to Marie Paletou and Lawrence Eugene Schlesinger, at Hotel Dieu in New Orleans. graduating from Jesuit High School, he attended Tulane University and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi, where he met his devoted wife and life partner of 60 years, Rheba Sue Westerfield of Mendenhall, Mississippi. Warren went on to serve in the United States Air Force during the Korean War before returning to New Orleans to begin his career and rear his family. having served as one of the first medical sales representatives (one of only eight worldwide) for Stryker Corporation, Warren founded Su-Surgical, Inc. with his wife Rheba in 1976 and became an innovator in the medical equipment business, pioneering a business model for endoscopic surgical services that has since been adopted by many of the largest medical equipment companies in the world. Warren’s legacy is his loving family whom he valued above all else, his generosity, and his business which remains independent and family operated even today. He is predeceased by his parents and by sons, Mark Westerfield Schlesinger (Myrna) and Stephen Carter Schlesinger (Martha). He is survived by sons Warren Gregory Schlesinger (Lisa) and Christopher Scott Schlesinger (Marjorie), daughter Susan Schlesinger Rigney (Peter), grandchildren Sarah Schlesinger Rathe (Brant), Gregory Schlesinger (Sarah Jane), Mary Elise Schlesinger, Priscilla Schlesinger, Spencer Schlesinger, Catherine Schlesinger, Tia Schlesinger and Carter Rigney, and great-grandchildren Olivia Grace Schlesinger, Jack Rathe, and Catherine Rathe.
