Obituary: Marvell Ann Sanders passed away peacefully on , 2, 2017, at the age of 77, at her home in Eunice, La. after a lengthy illness with loved ones by her side. Marvel was born on 20, 1939. A Memorial Service will be held on 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. In 1955 she married the love of her life, George Willen Sanders and resided in Eunice, La. where they raised six children. enjoyed taking them camping, watching their sons participate in sports and spending time outdoors. Marvel enjoyed sitting on her patio with her late husband Willen and family, cooking and talking about good times. Marvel and Willen loved going to New Orleans with family, dancing and loved her Cajun culture. She was also an avid LSU and Saints fan. Marvell is survived by Becky Crowder of Eunice and Cindy Miller Sanders and companion Steve Perry of Moss Bluff, Anthony Tony Sanders and wife Mindy of Duson, Bobby Sanders and wife Rachel of Moss Bluff , Greg Sanders of Lake Charles and Brady Sanders of Eunice. She is also survived by one brother, Zeke Brown and wife Beth of Sunset, La.; thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Obituary: Martha ODell Gray Sanders left this mortal life on 30, 2014. She lived a long, meaningful life of 93 years. She now sleeps in the hope of the resurrrection at the return of the Messiah to earth when the Kingdom of God will be established and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. She was born on 25, 1921 to John H. Gray and Eula Lee Gray. She married Ray Sanders at the tender age of Fifteen. She was baptized on 14, 1940 into the saving name of Jesus Christ. Most of Marthas life was spent on the family farm working alongside her husband milking cows, working in the fields, hoeing and picking cotton, and gardening. She was beautiful on the outside and on the inside. She helped raise her younger brothers and sisters after their parents died. She was always generous with the little she had and showed hospitality to anyone who came for a visit. She was an excellent cook and loved to serve a table full of delicious homemade food to family and friends. She stayed active in her retirement years with many hobbies. She loved working in her yard and grew beautiful iris and day lillies. She began oil painting in her late 60s and enjoyed giving her masterpieces as gifts. She also began quilting in her early 80s and gave a quilt to all of her children, grandchildren, and many of her friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Sanders, her grandson, Michael Brandon, her great grandson, Micah Sanders, and two of her sisters. She leaves four sisters, three brothers, son Rodney Sanders of Oak Grove, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Shari Sanders of Bulverde, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Gerald Fitzgerald of Maumelle, Arkansas; 1 grandson; 5 granddaughters; 5 great grandsons; 5 great granddaughters; and 1 great great granddaughter. services will be held at 3 PM on , 1, 2014 at Cox Chapel in Oak Grove, Louisiana. Interment will follow in the Concord near Oak Grove, Louisiana. Harold Thomas will be conducting the service. Granddaughters Marria Hamlin, Mandie Smith and Martie Glover will give the eulogy. Visitation will be held on , 1, 2014 from noon until time of service at Cox in Oak Grove, Louisiana. |

Obituary: Shreveport, LA- Services for Linda Sue Upshaw Sanders, 73, will be held at 11:00 a.m., , 30, 2015, at Centuries Memorial in Shreveport. Officiating will be Dr. Murry Hodge and Reverend Billy Crosby, both of Summer Grove Baptist Church. The family will be receiving visitors at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Haughton, Louisiana. Linda was born on May 24, 1941, in Columbia, Louisiana, and went to her heavenly home on 26, 2015 . She passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a courageous battle with kidney cancer. Linda was the Plant Managers Secretary at Libbey Glass for a number of years and later joined Customer Service where she took great pride in handling glassware orders for her customers. She retired from Libbey Glass in 1997. She was a great cook and loved serving delicious meals for her family. Linda was a long time member of Summer Grove Baptist Church and Bill Longs School class. She was preceded in death by her parents Ray Benoyd Upshaw and Lennie Haddox Upshaw. Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Edward Sanders; one sister Barbara Chambless and husband Jack of Shreveport, LA; one niece, Tiffany Chambless Ristroph and husband Kevin, of The Woodlands, TX; two great-nieces, Caroline Elizabeth Ristroph and Mary Claire Ristroph; step-son, Stephen C. Sanders and wife Veronica, of Arlington, Virginia, and step-daughter Julie E. Sanders, of Houston, Texas. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Chambless, Jr., Kevin Ristroph, Billy Fisher, Raymond Fisher, Stephen Sanders and Kinny Haddox. The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Seborn Woods for his compassion, care, and friendship for many years. A special thanks also to the Willis Knighton Cancer doctors and nurses and the St. Joseph Hospice nurses. Her favorite Bible verse was Philippians 4:13; I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. She will be extremely missed by her husband, family and friends. Karen is survived by Kelley LaBove of Lake Charles; her father, Clyde Sanders and his wife Margaret of Schrievier, LA; her mother, Carol D. Crooks of Eunice; two sisters, Juanetta Hebert of Denham Springs and Holly Schexneider; four brothers, Doug Hebert of Shreveport, Jeffery Hebert and wife Mary of Baton Rouge, Gary Sanders and wife Sandy of Thibodeaux, and Alton Sanders and wife Gisele of Baton Rouge; and special family and friends, Julie Harrison of Denham Springs and Nola Reed of Lake Charles. Karen was a native of Eunice. She lived a long and fulfilling life in Lake Charles as a realtor for 25 years. Karen fought a long and courageous battle with cancer.
