Obituary: Denny Allen Satterly, age 72, passed away on , 28, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was born in Lawrenceburg, KY on May 26, 1940 to the late Bruce and Lelia Satterly. Denny graduated from Western High School and then went on to graduate from Eastern Kentucky University. He worked as a teacher for Anderson and Boone Schools and then went on to work for the Kentucky Department of Parks retiring as a general manager. Denny enjoyed playing golf, watching NASCAR, collecting vintage cars and playing with his grandchildren. Denny was of the Baptist faith, a Kentucky Colonel and an Admiral of Waterways. He was also preceded in the death by his brother, Lonnie Satterly; his sisters, Rita Satterly Curtsinger, and Cindy Satterly Sea. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Barbara Satterly; his son, Nathan Satterly ( Beth) of Owensboro; his daughters, Robyn Satterly Meredith ( Hugh) and Lori Lynn Satterly both of Central City; his brothers, Eunice Satterly ( Donna) and Kevin Satterly (Sharon) both of Lawrenceburg and Bobby Satterly ( Doris) of Frankfort; his sister, Libby Satterly Sea ( Gary) of Lawrenceburg. He is also survived by grandchildren, Seth and McKenna Meredith, Connor and Noah Satterly. services will be held at Noon on in the chapel of Glenn and Crematory, with interment following at Rose Hill in Muhlenberg . Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. on and after 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home on . Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to charities of the donors choice. Obituary: Cindy Prater Satterfield, 56, of Owensboro made her journey to Heaven on , 1, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Owensboro, she was the daughter of the late Bro. Ronald J. and Sarah Christine Prater. A 1974 graduate of Owensboro High School, she was a track star and cheerleader. She was a great manager and communicator which led to her success in jobs with ECK Miller Transportation, several other transportation related businesses, and later managing the Prater Family Rental Properties. She was a devoted wife and mother with her proudest role being a wonderful Grana to her grandchildren. She never missed sporting events or other activities where she was proud to support her children and grandchildren. Cindy was also a talented musician and singer, formerly a member of the New World Gospel Singers. Her faith was founded in the church her father built and pastored for 53 years, Ridgewood Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Wayne Prater in 1993. Surviving are her husband of 26 years, Bob Satterfield; children, Amy (Chad) Hardin, Amber Satterfield and Adam Satterfield all of Owensboro; grandchildren, Jaxon Hardin, Sarah Hardin, and, to be born in May, Levi Hardin; a brother, Ronald J. Prater, Jr. of Owensboro; her baby, her Teacup Yorkie, Angel; and many loving extended family members and friends.. services will be 2 p.m. , 5, 2013 at Ridgewood Baptist Church with Revs. Franklin Skaggs and Jerry Carter officiating followed by burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Glenn and Crematory and after 10 a.m. at the church.
