Obituary: Lucille Irene Bealer-Stang, 92, of Clinton, Iowa passed away peacefully at home on , 8, 2014. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on , 11, at Lemke s - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Drive - west side of Clinton Lawn ). A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn . Lemke s is assisting the family with arrangements. Lucille was born 26, 1921 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Earl F. Sr. and Lettie Ruth (Smith) Shadle. She was united in marriage to Ralph Bealer, Sr. on 14, 1942 Kahoka, MO., he passed away in 1982; she then married Don Stang in 1987, he passed away 1988. Lucille worked for A.C Nielsens Clearing House for 13 years and was also a homemaker. She enjoyed travelling, trying her luck at the Casinos and working cross word puzzles. Lucille is survived by four daughters - Dixie (Kenny) Handy of Clinton, IA., Patsy (Art) Barber of DeWitt, IA., Carol Mahoney of Camanche, IA., Sandy (Bob) Byers of Clinton, IA.; 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren; one sister - Lorraine Edens of Clinton, IA., two son-in-laws Skeeter Schultz of Camanche IA., Al Cram of Clinton, IA. and one step-daughter - Shirley Warren of Florida. Preceding Lucille in death were her parents, two husbands - Ralph Bealer Sr. and Don Stang, three brothers; three daughters - Darlene Cram, Mary Schultz, infant Kathleen, one son- Ralph; two grandsons - Randy Schultz and Kevin Jahn; two granddaughters - Debbie Scalfaro and Diane Mahoney. Memorials made will be directed to the wishes of the family. |

Obituary: Tom Stanford, age 66, of Grinnell died suddenly on , 9, 2015, in Grinnell doing what he loved best, helping out a neighbor. As per his wishes a private Celebration of Life service was held at his home. Memorials may be designated to the Tom Stanford Memorial Fund that will benefit several area organizations. Tommy Clancy Stanford was born on 29, 1948, in New Sharon, Iowa to Ralph Stanford, Jr. and Nadine (Clancy) Stanford. He was raised on the family farm near Montezuma, Iowa and he graduated from Montezuma High School in 1967. high school he attended a trade school in Kansas City, Missouri. Tom worked at Farmhand in Grinnell for 28 years and after Farmhand closed its doors he began working at Donaldson Corporation in Grinnell from 1995 until he was laid off. For the last several years he was a familiar face at Second Mile where he volunteered endless hours and found many a treasure for friends and family. He was united in marriage to his beloved for over 25 years, JoAnn Margaret McCulley. Together they raised their grandson, Jonnie Rupe. Tom was a family man, an outdoorsman and one who spent much of his life helping others in need. He thrived when he and his grandchildren were spending time together. Tom will be remembered for his loving and giving nature, telling stories, and for his love of animals, especially his rescue dog, Marley. Tom was a hard working man, always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He carried a small notebook in his pocket with anything someone needed, just in case it came into Second Mile. Those left to treasure Toms memory are his wife, JoAnn Stanford of Grinnell; daughter, Carla Stanford (Doane) of New Sharon, Iowa; seven grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, and three siblings, Pam (Mike) Clements of Denton, Texas, Cathy (Keith) Keifer of Montezuma, Iowa; Chris (Nita) Stanford of Williamsburg, Iowa. Tom was preceded in death by his parents. |
