Obituary: Elmer Siebke, Sr., 98, of Davenport died , 3, 2014 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm and 9-10 am at the Runge Mortuary. services will follow at 10 am in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Interment will be in Holy Family . Memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, McAnthonys Window or the Sisters of Humility. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com. Elmer Siebke was born May 20, 1916 in Scott , Iowa. He married Elverde Brus in 1937 in Davenport. She died in 1966. He later married Nelda Riessen in 1968. She died in 2012. Mr. Siebke farmed in rural Scott , near Walcott, retiring in 1978 after 40 years. His children and their spouses are Elmer, Jr. and Peggy Siebke, Gladstone, MO, Les Siebke and Dee Cossmon, Kenneth Siebke, and Dennis Siebke, all of Davenport; step-daughter, Karen Frick; and daughter-in-law, Marie Siebke. His grandchildren and their spouses are Mark Siebke and Jennifer Lang, Charlotte, NC, Lisa and Michael Willen, Washington, DC, Sonya and Toby Fisher, Davenport, Brian Siebke, Bettendorf, Matthew and Tricia Siebke, Eagen, MN and Melissa Siebke, Minneapolis, MN; step-grandchildren and their spouses, Scott and Connie Frick, Edwardsville, IL, Kirk and Bobbi Ford, Davenport, Kelly and Dan Barr, DeWitt, Iowa and Byron and Suzanne Frick, Johnston, Iowa. His great-grandchildren are Brycen Wilson, Megan, Hailey and Abbey Fisher, all of Davenport, Gregory, Bethany and Kaitlyn Frick, Edwardsville, IL, Alex, Samantha and Adam Barr, DeWitt and Madeline and Kyle Frick, Johnston, Iowa, Luke and Anna Willen, Washington, DC, Paxton Siebke, Eagen, MN and Zach Ford, Davenport. In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Olga Siebke, sister, Florence, brother, Donald, son-in-law, Robert Frick and step-daughter, Kathryn Ford. The family would like to thank the staff members of Country Manor and Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House for the loving care provided Elmer during his time of need. |

Obituary: Delight Siebert, 89, passed away peacefully on the morning of , 8, 2016 at the home of her daughter, Bonnie Whitaker. services will be held 10 a.m., , 13, 2016, at Ankeny (1510 W. First St. Ankeny, 50023). Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on at Ankeny . Further services and burial will take place in Delights hometown of Topeka, Kansas. Delight was born 28, 1927 in Topeka, Kansas, to Claude and Donna (Bartley) Liles. She was united in marriage to Arthur Walter Siebert on 24, 1946 in Topeka, Kansas (he passed away 26, 1996); to this union eight children were born. Delight worked at Nieznerss Department Store in Newton, Iowa and also was a homemaker and stayed very busy raising her children. In her spare time Delight enjoyed sewing, quilting and many other crafting activities. She played board games as well and crossword puzzles. She faithfully attended church on mornings. Most importantly, Delight treasured spending time with her family, traveling with them, visiting family and going to family reunions. Delight will be missed by her son, Mark (Kersti) Siebert; daughters, Donna Mitchell, Sharon (Rick) Beenen, Claudia (Raymond) Shadid, Nancy Wilson, Bettie (Jerry Grace) Marshall and Bonnie (Jerry) Whitaker; sister, Darleen (Don) Berry; daughter-in-law, Betsy Siebert; as well as 21 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Delight is preceded in death by her husband Arthur W. Siebert; parents Claude L. and Donna Liles; son, Kevin Siebert; son-in-law, Van D. Mitchell; siblings, Darrell (Ina), Donald, David, Delbert (Judy) Liles, Dixie (Joe) McKinney; and grandchildren, Gale Mitchell, Jason Ducey and Joseph P. Whitaker. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to the family. |
