Obituary: NORMA JEAN SAYERS 1932 – 2015 Norma Jean (Chapman) Sayers age 83 of Tabor, IA formerly of Murray, NE passed away on , 29, 2015 at the Tabor Manor in Tabor, IA. She was born on 10, 1932 to William Bill Tracy and Wilda Oletha (Davis) Chapman in Vail, IA. She was raised and schooled in rural Denison, IA. She married David Leroy Hansen and raised six children in Omaha, NE and Glenwood, IA. In 1982, she married Jerry Dewayne Sayers of Murray, NE. Jerrys passing, she made her home in Murray, NE, Bells, TX, Glenwood, IA, and later Tabor. She was a proud homemaker, American, and a Christian. Norma enjoyed spending time with her family and she also enjoyed canning, especially making her familys favorite strawberry jam. Throughout the years, Norma had worked as a dietician at the Glenwood Resource in Glenwood, IA and later as a caregiver at The Nebraska Masonic in Plattsmouth, NE. Norma is survived by her three sons: Keith Hansen and wife Aggie of Colorado Springs, CO, Brian Hansen of St. Pete Beach, FL, Philip Hansen and wife Wendi of Killeen, TX, daughter: Carla Anglen and husband Sam of Glenwood, IA, daughter in law: Judith Hansen of Mission, KS, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, three brothers: Garry Chapman and wife Pat of Denison, IA, Harold Chapman and wife Elaine of Arion, IA, Jerry Chapman and wife Carleen of Cedar Rapids, IA, two sisters in law: Minnie Sayers of Murray, NE, Dana Sayers of Murray, NE, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Bill and Wilda Chapman, husbands: David Hansen, Jerry Sayers, two sons: David Hansen, Miles Hansen, step daughter: Sheryl Desautels, brother: Daryl Chapman, sister: Marilyn Woebke, and grandson: Tye Hansen. A Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., , 1, 2015 at Roby in Plattsmouth. Final Resting place will be at Rock Bluffs in Plattsmouth, NE. The family suggests Memorials to Alzheimers Association. |
