Obituary: Louise Ann (Burchett) Sackett was born 31, 1942, in Leon, Iowa, to William Allen and Inez Mary (Jones) Burchett. She grew up in Ringgold and graduated from Mount Ayr High School in 1961. On 23, 1961, Louise was united in marriage to Larry Joe Sackett at the First Christian Church in Mount Ayr. To this union two children were born, Randy Joe and Laurie Suzanne. Louise and Larry made their home in Des Moines for many years. Louise retired from Wells Fargo, after more than 25 years of service in the Trust department. Louise and Larry have spent their retirement years at Sun Valley Lake in Ellston. Louise passed away at the Ringgold Hospital on 17, 2015, at the age of 72. Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Laurie; and two sisters, one in infancy and Vera Jean Mercer. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Larry Sackett of Ellston; son, Randy (wife Jill) Sackett of Winterset; two brothers, Bill Butch (wife Renee) Burchett of Ankeny and Duane (wife Margie) Burchett of Lamoni; two sisters, Veva Dean Buell and Joyce Marie Tucker, both of Des Moines; her beloved dog, Murphy; a host nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and many wonderful friends. Open viewing from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Family greeting friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on , 22, at Watson Armstrong in Mount Ayr, Iowa. service will take place at 10:30 a.m. on , 23, also at the funeral home. A short burial service will take place at Glendale Masonic in Des Moines at 2:30 p.m. on . In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Shriners Hospital for Children in Chicago. |

Obituary: Timothy Tim Joseph Sachsenmaier 83, of Camanche, Iowa passed away peacefully at the University of Iowa Hospitals on , 18, 2016. A Mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. on , 23, at the Church of the Visitation - Camanche, Iowa. A visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on , 22, at the Church of the Visitation. Cremation rites will be accorded following the Mass with a private burial at Clinton Lawn at a later date. Lemke s is assisting the family with arrangements. Tim was born 4, 1932 in Glenwood City, Wisconsin, the son of and Mary (Calhoun) Sachsenmaier. He was a graduate of Glenwood City High School. Following High School, he joined the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War. Tim was united in marriage to Beverly Bev A. Senger on 25, 1954 in Glenwood, Wisconsin. He worked as a Carman Welder for the Chicago and North Western Railroad and transferred to the newly formed C & NW car shop in Clinton, Iowa - retiring in 1994 after 43 years of service. Tim and his young family were not only one of the first parishioners of the Church of the Visitation in Camanche, he was a leading presence in the Church. He was also a member of the Carmans Railroad Union and a card carrying member of the Carpenters Union. Additionally, he served as a member of the Camanche Park Board for sixteen years. Tims life can be summed up by his focus to his family, his Church, and personified by a strong work ethic, however it goes so much deeper than that. For example, when it came to the Church of the Visitation you could always count on his help whether it was assisting with the initial start of the Church, building the Stations of the Cross, volunteering as the first Commentator/Lectern, assisting with the first addition to the Church or starting the parishioners favorite - Bingo. Next he knew that only through ones hard-work could you achieve results, and that was characterized in everything he did from working at the C & NW Railroad to his expertise with woodworking. Finally his main priority was always focused on his family, he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren whether it was playing his guitar for them on his yard swing or just being there and building lasting memories with them. He will be truly missed by his family and never forgotten. Tim is survived by his wife Bev of Camanche, IA; two sons - Timothy (Jackie) Sachsenmaier of Camanche, IA, Roger (Tami) Sachsenmaier of Clinton, IA; three daughters - Kathy Lund of Portland, OR, Theresa (Jeff) Hackney of Camanche, IA, Michele (Vic) Gorsh of Long Grove, IA; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends he has met throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter - Susan Ann, one sister, two brothers and one grandson - Jeramy. Memorials made can be directed to the wishes of the family. |
