Obituary: Mindle Edmond Spencer went home to God at 93 years old on 3rd, 2016 at his home in Yuma, AZ. He was born on 26th, 1923 in Butler, OK, where he farmed with his family until he entered the US Army and fought in World War II. When he returned, he established a homestead in Bard, CA, and became known as the Cotton King for bringing cotton farming back to the Yuma area after the war. Mindle raised his family in Bard, became a Christian, and lived the rest of his successful life as a faithful follower of Christ. He established a home in Pinetop, AZ. Mindle was a quiet, strong, generous, hardworking, gracious man who will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Spencer; son, Phillip Spencer; daughter-in-law, Janice Spencer; mother, Daphene Spencer; father, Glen Spencer; brothers, Joe Spencer, Lewie Spencer, Winefred Spencer and Royce Spencer. He is survived by his wife, Maurine Spencer; daughter, Glenda Spencer; brothers, Arnold Spencer, Donald Spencer; sister, Wanda Spencer; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in honor of Mindle at Desert Lawn Memorial Park 1415 South 1st Ave, Yuma, AZ 85364 on , 8th at 10:30AM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Yuma (http://www.hospiceofyuma.com/). under the direction of Johnson Mortuary & Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Yuma, AZ. |

Obituary: Michael Spencer, born on May 17, 1929 in Missouri to Nedra and Emmett Elmo Spencer. He had a brother O eil. He met his wife Virginia at a high school basketball game and married her on 29, 1949. Together, they spent 62 years in marriage in the Catholic tradition. Michael was a wonderful husband to Virginia and a spectacular father to his four children. Michael had many friends that were dear to him. moving to Scottsdale Arizona, Michael became a partner with Mr. Frank Hunter of Arizona Adjustment Agency for many years. Michael was able to open additional branches of the company throughout the state. He also graduated from Arizona State University. Michael was a religious man who attended church on a weekly basis, devoted his life to his family and encouraged each of them to follow the Catholic tradition. The good Lord called Michael home on 30, 2015 and his love will be always cherished in our hearts. A Memorial Mass will be held on , 6 in the Immaculate Conception Church in Cottonwood at 11 AM. Inurnment will follow at All Souls . |
