Obituary: Charles E. "Sunny" Syndram, 76, of Wolcottville, passed away , 20, 2011 at his home. He was born 6, 1934 in Ft Wayne and was a US Navy veteran. He retired in 1996 as a fork lift driver with Nestle after 26 1/2 years. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 423, Fraternal Order of Eagles 985 and VFW 2479. He was an avid reader and loved computer games. He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Syndram, of Wolcottville; three sons, Steven Syndram and Charles Syndram, both of Ft Wayne, and James Syndram, of Wolcottville; two daughters, Catherine (Syndram) Terrell, of Lancaster, CA and Cynthia (Syndram) Posey, of Ft Wayne; 12 grandchildren and 15 great granchildren; brother, Richard Syndram, of Ft Wayne and sister, Dorothy Davis, of Ft Wayne. Army Vietnam veteran and worked as a supervisor with Allen Highway Dept for 43 years, retiring in 2007. He was a member of Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church, volunteered at Turnstone and the Botanical Gardens. He enjoyed feeding the hummingbirds, being outdoors, fishing, tinkering in the garage, a big fan of the Detroit Tigers, Tin Caps and NASCAR. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Pat Syndram of Fort Wayne, IN; son, David Lynn (Kendra) Syndram of St Marys, OH; daughter, Stacie Ann (Ken) Gustin of New Haven, IN, grandchildren, Alexa, Amanda, Tyler, Dylan, Casey, Seth, Conner, Natalie, Brennan and Braelynn; great grandchildren, Hayden, Hailey, Hazel and Addison; sister, Becky (Gary) Pilling of Fort Wayne and his loving dog C.C.
