Obituary: Dick E. Swisher, 65, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away at 7:45 p.m. , 12, 2015, in Memorial Hospital. Dick was a devoted husband and father. He was born on 26, 1949 in Watervliet, Michigan to James and Melva (Kisor) Swisher. He had been employed as a salesman in the automobile and manufacturing industries. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen S. Swisher. He is also survived by his son, Adam, (Miranda) Swisher of Portage, Michigan; three sisters, Nancy Grooms, Cheryl (Charles) Worsham, and Kathy Galicia all of South Bend, Indiana; one brother, Dennis (Tammy) Swisher of Steger, Illinois; one sister-in-law, Sandra (Robert) Kile; and one brother-in-law, Rick (Vickie) Kring. He also survived by many loved nieces and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, James Swisher. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., , 16, 2015 in the Kaniewski , 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Burial will follow in Southlawn . A visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Dick was a member of Lydick United Methodist Church. He enjoyed camping, listening to music, and sitting on the porch with his dog Sadie. Dick was known to talk with friends and strangers alike and was loved by many. Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Lydick United Methodist Church.
