Obituary: DOLORES V. STIER, 90, of Fort Wayne, passed away on , Oct. 23, 2010, at Provena Sacred Heart , Avilla. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a charter member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, serving as lector, distributor and greeter. During World War II , she worked at GE Super Charger, she was a three time state champion seamstress. She was also an accomplished tap dancer and performer with the Fort Wayne Alley Kats. She and her husband, Robert had acted as Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus for the Festival of Trees. Surviving are sons, Joseph (Rosie) Stier and Rick Stier, both of Fort Wayne; daughter, Jackie Franze of Fort Wayne; daughter-in-law, Margaret Stier of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Woehnker; and sister, Marilyn Balser. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Stier; son, Robert M. Stier; son-in-law, David Franze; and brothers, Joseph Woehnker and Thomas Woehnker. "The family wishes to thank Provena Sacred Heart for the three plus years of loving care they provided their mother." Obituary: ALLISON AILENE (PEPPLE) STIER, 41, of Fort Wayne, passed away on , Jan. 9, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. Born on Feb. 19, 1973 in Fort Wayne, she was the only daughter of James and Marsha (Mack) Pepple. She was a graduate of North Side High School, Class of 1991, and attended Four Winds Academy of Hair Design. Allison was the owner of Studio Eclipse and had worked there for the past 15 years. She fell in love with her husband, Gerrett Stier, and was married on Aug. 13, 2005. She was also a member of Lincolnshire Church of the Brethren and the "Ribbon Chicks". She enjoyed riding her bike, traveling and watching her son play football. She was fond of the ocean and always made sure that if she was traveling nearby that she would stop and walk the beach, eat at an oceanside restaurant and stay at an oceanfront hotel. "She loved her family and always encouraged others to love theirs. Allison had a terrific smile; she never stopped smiling, even on her worst days. She was a loving mother and wife who will be missed by so many". She is survived by her husband of nine years, Gerrett Stier; 12 year old son, Carson Norris, who left this message "RIP to the best mom in the whole wide world. She fought so hard but now she's in a better place"; parents, James and Marsha Pepple; brother, Ben (Abbie) Pepple; niece, Kaia Pepple; nephew, Chase Pepple; and mother and father-in-law, Stuart and Tamra Stier. Obituary: Betty Lugene Stieglitz, age 55, of Bloomington passed away , 25, 2010 at Meadowood Pavilion. She was born on 31, 1954 in Des Moines, Iowa to Max and Betty (Morain) Benshoof. Betty was a member of the Sherwood Oaks Christian Church. She had attended Moody Bible in Chicago. Betty leaves behind her husband, Gerry Stieglitz, her children; Michael Stieglitz, Debbie Pillar, and Jennifer Faith Stieglitz, all of Bloomington. She also leaves behind her mother, Betty Benshoof, of Bloomington, four brothers; Max Benshoof of Spartanburg, South Carolina, David Benshoof, of Indianapolis, Rob Benshoof, of Las Vegas, Nevada and Tim Benshoof, of Wheaton, Illinois, and one sister, Carol Stanton of Bloomington. Betty was preceded in death by her father, Max Benshoof and one sister, Debra Benshoof. Betty was faithful in prayer. She was a coordinator for Moms In Touch ministry, a participant and teacher for Bible Study Fellowship, a past board member for Youth for Christ, a friend of YoungLife, a trained CASA volunteer and a member of the Hoosier Hills Emmaus Community. Betty had a deep love and care for all children. Betty was a member of the McDonalds organization working in the corporate offices from 1976 until 1984 when she became a co-owner/operator with her husband in Nashville and Martinsville. Bettys greatest pride and accomplishment was being a loving wife and mother to her family and a caring aunt, niece, and cousin to her extended family. With several family gatherings throughout each year, she continually showed her family how special they were to her. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church with Pastor Tom Ellsworth and Rev. Max Benshoof officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
