Obituary: .Bethel Steiner of Terre Haute, Indiana went to her eternal home on evening, 21, 2014. She was born on 27, 1934 to Clara (Kidd) Boruff and Noah Roosevelt Boruff in Terre Haute, Indiana. She married Kenneth R. Steiner in Terre Haute on 4, 1966 at Second Christian Church. Bethel was preceded in death by her mother Clara, her father Noah, her sister Ethel (Boruff) Cox, her brother David Boruff, and her stepmother Helen A. (Smith) Boruff. Bethel is survived by her loving husband Kenneth Rudolf Steiner; her daughter Karen Renee (Steiner) Lutgring (Ray) of Evansville, Indiana, her son Paul Kenneth Steiner and wife Abigail Jean (McGuire) Steiner of Miami, Florida, and grandchildren Isaac Ray Lutgring and Ian Kent Lutgring of Evansville, and Kadison Ruth Steiner, Kenyon Paul Steiner, and Leyton Mark Steiner, all of Miami. Bethel is also survived by her big brother, Cleb Lee Boruff and wife Patty (Smith) Boruff of Brazil, Indiana, and many nieces and nephews and their families. Bethel is survived by her life-long friend Rosalie Henager of Winslow, Indiana and her best friends at North Terre Haute Christian Church who join in wishing her a happy coming. Bethel was born a coal-miners daughter in Terre Haute and attended Garfield High School, graduating in 1952. She worked for the United Mine Workers Association District 11 Office, and for Merchants National Bank in 12 Points until her children were born. Bethel was devoted to her children, her family, and to her church family whom she loved so much, serving in Christian Womens Fellowship, Missions committee, the nursery, and the choir. Bethel was also a long-time volunteer with Meals on Wheels. She was quite competitive playing board games with family and friends, and enjoyed daily crossword puzzles and cryptograms. Bethel was an avid sports fan, especially of college basketball, and she and Ken enjoyed attending ISU womens basketball games for many years with Cleb and Patty. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on , 25, at Thomas . Services will be held at 10 a.m. on , 26, at the funeral home, with Pastor Chris McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. The family deeply appreciates the loving assistance of the wonderful employees at Southern Hospice of Terre Haute. Obituary: Arlene Mary Steiner, 71, passed away peacefully at her home on , 18, 2016 in Fort Wayne. Born in Bridgeport, CT, Arlene grew up in Elkhart, IN. She completed her Masters degree in Elementary Education from Indiana State University. Arlene went on to teach in both Terre Haute and Fort Wayne. She was the co-founder and co-owner of Varsity Photo, Inc. Arlene was an active member for 46 years at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church where she served as past-President of the Rosary Sodality and established the Prayer Blanket Ministry. Arlene served as a Eucharistic minister for 31 years. She also served as a St. Charles Girl Scout Leader. Arlene was an avid golfer, card player, enjoyed traveling, and crafts. She always loved attending her grandchildrens athletic events. Most importantly, Arlene will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Surviving are her husband, Steve Steiner of Fort Wayne; her children, Shelley (Patrick) Herrold of Fort Wayne; Scott (Shelly) Steiner of Lakewood Ranch, FL; Stephanie Steiner of Fort Wayne; 4 grandchildren, Nicholas; Michael; Emily; and Allison; and her sister, Mary (Walter) Lips of Clifton, VA.
