Obituary: Sherri Yvette Stanton, 50, of Connersville, passed away afternoon at Reid Hospital, Richmond, following a seven month battle with cancer. While she had been ill, her death was unexpected. Sherri was a Connersville native, born 13, 1965 to Claude and Shirley Smith Counceller. In 1984, she graduated from Connersville High School and attended Ball State University from 1984-1986. She raised her family in Kokomo living there 12 years. However, recently she has moved back to her hometown where she was reunited with her childhood friend Bill Stanton, who became her husband on 14th 2013. Sherri was a devout Christian; God and family were the most important things to her. Sherri loved to ride the Harley with her husband, feeling the warmth of the sun on her face brought her much peace. Sherris biggest accomplishments were her two children, Courtney & Eric. She happily served as a band parent to both kids throughout high school and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Kokomo. She had been employed as an assistant manager at US Bank in Connersville. Sherri is survived by her husband, Bill Stanton, her Mother: Shirley Counceller of Connersville; her children: Eric Fogelberg of Connersville; Courtney Bonner and her husband, Kurt of Hagerstown; her sister: Claudia Banks and her husband, Travis of Connersville; nieces: Moranda Terwilliger, Sherri Ann Russell, Angel Rae Miller and their families: and several nephews, aunts uncles and cousins: Her step-children and their spouses: Bill Stanton, Jr. and Bridget of Richmond; Cheryl Burns and Joe of Cambridge City; Her mother-in-law: Sue Lunsford of Connersville; her brother in-law: Terry and Vickie Riker of Connersville; 9 step grandchildren: Madison, Asher, Colten and Landon Burns, Max and Haven Stanton; and all of her wonderful friends. Sherri was preceded in death by her father who died 2, 2010, services will be conducted at 1 p.m. at Showalter Blackwell Long , Myers Chapel, Connersville with Pastor Richie Ware officiating. Interment will follow in Dale . Friends may visit at the funeral home from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. where memorial contributions may be made to the Fayette Cancer Society |

Obituary: Patricia Joan Abraham Stanton, 86, of Indianapolis, died 11, 2015. Patricia was born in Indianapolis on May 19, 1929 to Loelia Tomey Abraham and Joseph Hebert Abraham. Raised in Indianapolis, she graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1947. She worked as a telephone operator at Indiana Bell before marrying John Tooley Stanton of Centralia, Missouri, and Kokomo, Indiana, on 10, 1949. He was a decorated WWII veteran and a policeman with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department for 20 years. were married for 32 years before his death in 1981. fostered many children. Patricia worked for IPS Food Service at School #79, JJs Fashions in Honey Creek Plaza, and Speedway Woolco in Womens Apparel. She worked for the State of Indiana Food Stamp Office for 15 years. Patricia held a lifelong interest in genealogy and contributed many times to the Indiana Ancestors column in The Indianapolis Star. She was past Vice President of Indiana Romance Writers of America and queen of TOPS Club in the mid-1960s. She belonged to west-side euchre clubs. Other interest included sewing and needlepoint, painting and crafts, cooking, reading, and creative writing. She is survived by son John Stanton (Florence), sister Susan Lewis (Edward), nephews Michael Lewis (Dee) and Edward Trace Lewis III (Karen), and nieces Linda Dodson (Steve) and Elizabeth Ann Lewis. Obituary: Marjorie Stanton, 86, of Evansville, passed away , 1, 2014, at St. Marys Hospital. She was born 9, 1928, in Evansville, to the late Russel and Norma (Doench) Kerwick. Marjorie was the eldest sister to Les Kerwick and Dennis Kerwick. She graduated from Vogel Grade School in 1941 and Bosse High School in 1945. She met the love of her life, Robert H. Stanton Sr., at the New Yorker in downtown Evansville in 1944 while he was stationed at Camp Breckenridge, Kentucky during WWII. Robert preceded her in death in 1971. married 12, 1945 in a double ceremony with Jimmy and Delores (childhood friend) Smith at Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, Evansville, IN where they remained active members for many years and where Marjorie was involved in women's bible study and sewing circle. She and Robert were blessed with six children. Marjorie's greatest joy in life was the pride she felt for her children and grandchildren. Her happiest moments came from spending time with her family and telling stories of her childhood. She especially loved the time she spent with her aunt, Charlotte Beerwart, who was like a sister to her. spent many hours on her grandmothers farm and attending a one-room school house together on the Northwest side of Evansville. She loved working for Finke's Furniture in downtown Evansville and later in life for the Neville family in their property management company. Marjorie was preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Sheila Domina, in 2009. She is survived by five children, Sherrie (Barry) Martens, Stephany Stanton, Robert (Tracy) Stanton, Stacy (Don) Gallucci and Suzette (Robin) Hershman. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Julie Huelsing, Jason Domina, Megan Domina, Matthew Martens, Jacob Martens, Melissa Martens, Kelly Bailey, Clint Stanton, Tyler Shoultz, Joshua Thomas, Justin Thomas, Allie Hershman and Andrew Hershman; and sixteen great- grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Marys Emergency Dept., ICU, 4 West, Social Work Department, Drs. Peck, Millikan and Sunaina Bhateja for her years of caring for Marjorie. Marjories strong faith, words of wisdom, honesty and quick wit will be dearly missed by her family. We love you, Mom. Services will be 12:00 PM , 5, 2014, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev.
