Preceded in death by beloved husband Clyde and beloved daughter Glenda Warren. Her beloved survivors are son Cash Standefer, grandchildren Derik Warren and Marissa Warren, son-in-law Kevin Warren, sister Carolyn Phelps, nieces and nephews. She started as a teen factory worker for 13 years, giving her paycheck to her mother to help provide for younger siblings, then marrying Clyde and making a loving home. Obituary: Richard Thomas Stand died on the 1st of May at the age of 85. He was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Leo and Julia(Jablonski)Stand on 9, 1931. He married Theresa Margherone on 25, 1954 in Chicago. Richard was a long time member of St. John the Apostle Parrish in Bloomington. He worked as a machinist in both Chicago and Indiana. He was a devoted and loving family man who will be greatly missed by the Stand and Margherone families. Richard loved to go fishing and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 63 years; Theresa Margherone Stand, his three children; Tom(wife Deana)Stand, daughter (husband John)Campbell and Paul Stand. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Jennifer Taylor, Jessica Patton, Ashley Taylor and Joe Wilson, three great-grandchildren; Dathon Taylor, Jordan Patton and Kirra Patton and many nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Julia Stand, his beloved son Richie with whom he shared a birthday, his twin brother Leo, Jr. and Leos wife Dorothy. Obituary: Nellie Jean (nee Altop) (Wier) Stancombe, 86, a lifelong resident of Bloomington, IN died night, 15, 2015, at the I.U. Hospice House. She was born 21, 1929, in Bloomington to Anise Nye Altop and Gertie Marie (Petit) Altop. She was retired from Indiana University Campus Food Department. Survivors include her daughter, Catherine Wier of Mishawaka, IN; son, Donald Wier and his wife Celia of Mooresville; one grandson, Jared Wier of Mooresville; special friend, Mose Austin of Bedford; four sisters, Mildred Hatley, Nancy Musgrave, Alma Beers, and Patty Scott; one brother, Billy Altop; and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and one sister-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billie R. Stancombe; son, Ronald Wier; seven sisters, Rachel Mitchner, Helen Langley, Mable Frye, Lucille Pedro, Betty Jean Altop, Cora Richardson, and Dorothy Lucas; and three brothers, Donald Altop, Edward Altop, and Bobby Altop. Nellie had worked at the Poplar Hotel where she was head of housekeeping. She left that job to work for Indiana University, where she spent 23 years in the Campus Food Department. She earned recognition for years of faithful and loyal service. On her retirement, a party was hosted by the Campus Food Department and was attended by several co-workers, friends, and family. Nellie was very active in the American Legion Auxiliary, Burton Woolery Post 18, for several years. She received a lifetime membership and was chosen as Women of the Year in 1989. She served as President of the Auxiliary for two years. She also received Woman of the Year commendations at the 7th District Convention in Indianapolis and at the National Convention in Phoenix, Arizona. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 22, 2015, at 4:00 PM in the Sun Room of the American Legion, Burton Woolery Post 18, 1800 W Third St. There is no visitation scheduled. Private entombment will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens. are under the direction of Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel. If friends so desire, Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Legion Auxiliary. The family would like to extend a special thank you to nieces Sherry Schurtter, Mary Blake, Karen Arthur, and brother-in-law Robert Langley for all their care given to Nellie. Nellie was loved and will be missed by everyone who knew her. |

Obituary: Keith D. Stancombe, age 69, of Unionville, died at I. U. ; Bloomington Hospital. Born 8, 1943 in Oolitic, Indiana, he was the son of Juanita (Stancombe) Ballinger. He attended Needmore High School. He retired as the Stinesville Town Marshall. During the 1970s he was a civil deputy in Indianapolis and later was a deputy sheriff for the Marion Sheriffs Dept. He also owned and operated Strike Force private security agency. He was a bondsman and was well-known as an astute labor dispute negotiator. He was a satellite follower of Pastor Arnold Murray with the Shepherds Chapel in Arkansas. He is survived by his loving wife, Devonna Kay (Menshouse) Stancombe, of Unionville; two sons, Keith D. (Michele) Stancombe, of Indianpolis and Keven D. (Cheryl) Stancombe, of Bloomington; four daughters, Tammy (Curtis Smith) Stancombe, of Evansville, Donna (Wes) Rice, of Bloomington, Michele (Daniel) Smith, of Martinsville and Mary (William) Heston, of Bloomfield; three step-daughters, Trisha (Jeremy Womack) Jones, of Mooreland, Indiana, Kami (Mark Plunkett) Ridge, of Richmond, Indiana and Tabatha Dyson, of Mooresville, Indiana; three brothers, Dale Luttrell, of Georgia, Manuel Luttrell, of Knoxville, Tennessee and Thomas Luttrell, of California, eighteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, one daughter, Kimberly Stancombe and his much loved English bulldog, Nigel, on 3, 2012. The funeral service will be held on at 1:00 P.M. at the Hickory Grove Church in northern Lawrence with Rev. Daniel Scott Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit the family on at the church from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Day in Bloomington is in charge of arrangements.
