Obituary: Donald William Snyder, 94, Goshen, died 1:15 a.m. , 11, 2015 at his residence. He was born Dec. 17, 1920 in Roseland, Neb. to C.U. & Mary E. (Kauffman) Snyder. He married Leta M. Snyder on Sept. 9, 1945 at Bethel Mennonite Church in Ashley, Mich. and she died Jan. 21, 2011. Surviving are a dear friend, Virginia Kreider, Goshen, daughters, Donna Snyder (Stephen) Shank, Goshen, JoAnne Lehman (Andrew), Tustin, Mich., Cathy Cameron (Clare), Cambridge, Ontario, grandchildren, Laura Shank (Paul Swanson), Michael Shank (Katie Smallwood), Sara Shank, Hannah Lehman (Sinisa Rasberger), Marta Lehman, Ellen Lehman, Elizabeth Cameron (Ian Picketts), Daniel Cameron, Thomas Cameron and great-grandchildren, Anna, Benjamin and Elsie Picketts. Preceding him in death are his parents, wife, Leta, grandson, David Cameron, granddaughter, Greta Lehman, siblings, Irva Vandiver, Inez Diener, Harriet Bartruff, Kenneth Snyder, Jake Snyder and 2 infant sisters. Donald was a retired hospital administrator and past vice-president of the Michigan Hospital Association. He was a member of the Mennonite Church and volunteered with Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) and The Depot, Goshen. He enjoyed flying small planes, sailing, skiing, golfing and making jewelry. Donald appreciated the Evergreen Community at Greencroft and the many friends he made there. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. , 16, 2015 at Mennonite Church Gathering Rooms, 1900 S. Main St., Goshen. The service will be at 11 a.m. , 17, 2015 at Mennonite Church. Pastor Pamela Yoder & Pastor Gwen Gustafson-Zook will officiate. The family wishes to give a special thank you to Goshen Hospice. Memorials may be directed to the Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) or Mennonite Central Committee (MCC). Obituary: David A. Snyder 86, of Beech Grove, passed away on 17, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia; his grandsons, David (Amanda) and Josh Snyder; his great grandchildren, Alyvia, Mila, David Jr. DJ, and Ellianna Snyder; and his sister, Anne Lawrence. He was preceded in death by his brother; John Snyder. Dave attended Butler University before serving in the United States Naval Air Force. Dave was a member of Indian Creek Christian Church, past president of the Beech Grove Lions Club and was an avid IU fan that enjoyed watching the Pacers, Colts, and Chicago Cubs when he wasn spending time on the golf course. Obituary: Connie L Snyder, 75, passed away , 3, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical in Fort Wayne. Born in South Whitley, Indiana, Connie graduated from South Whitley High School. She was the co-owner of Soil Testing Inc and had been working there for the past 35 years. Connie enjoyed feeding animals in the wild, gardening, and baking pies. In her youth she was very athletic as well as playing Saxophone and being a Majorette. Surviving are her husband of 33 years, Kevin Snyder of Fort Wayne; children David (Laurie) Beck of Albion, Candice (Gary Wilson) Phillips of Geneva, IL; grandchildren, Jordan (Martin) Huttenlocker, Taylor and Jacob Phillips, Kaylyn, Keifer, and Jaydyn Beck; great-grandson Harrison Huttenlocker; brother, Edward (Edna) Arnold of South Whitley, sisters, Doris Hurd, (Lynn) Kyler of FL; sister-in-laws, Janet Arnold, and Pat Arnold. Connie was preceded in death by her parents Esta and Opal Arnold, sister, Betty Lou Jackson, brothers, Larry and Jim Arnold, and granddaughter, Maren Phillips. A Memorial Service is 4:00 pm, 5, 2016 at Albion Wesleyan Church, 800 E Main St, Albion, IN 46701 with calling from 2:00 pm until the service. Memorials may be made to the ASPCA. D.O.
