Obituary: Keith W. Shumate, 64 years old, passed away on , 1, 2016 at Deaconess Hospital. Keith graduated from F. J. Reitz High School in 1969. He had worked at Stewart Foods and Riverbend Association but was retired as of , 2016. He is survived by his wife, Anne Shumate; sons Adrian Shumate (Sara), Drew Shumate (Rachel), and Alex Shumate; grandchildren Olive Marie and Lily Ann; brother, Randy Shumate (Jeannine); nephews, Brandon (Missy), Beau (Sharon), Blake (Katie) and niece, Ashley (Patrick); brother-in-law, John Bauer (Leah); sister-in-law, Jane Rice (John); nephew, Aaron Rice (Emily, Cooper) and niece, Rebecca Young (Chris). Keith was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bonnie Shumate. Visitation will be held at Alexander West Chapel on , 6, 2016 beginning at 11:00 A.M. with funeral services at 2:00 P.M. Obituary: Stephen H. Shumaker, 72, passed away , 1, 2014. Born in Kendallville, Stephen worked at Dana Corp. for 33 years, retiring in 1994. In his retirement he enjoyed Sprint Car racing # 57, traveling, reading and keeping up with family and friends. Surviving are his wife, Kelly Shumaker of Saint Joe; son, Scott (Lisa) Shumaker of Kendallville; daughter, Brenda (Jeff) Harmon of Fort Wayne; brother, Stan (Juana) Shumaker of White Pine, MI; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Obituary: Minnie V. (Bradbury) Shumaker, 92, passed away peacefully at Renaissance Village with the additional loving care of Visiting Nurse and Hospice on , 15, 2011. She was born in Allen on 5, 1918 to the late Clarence and Lily (Buskirk) Bradbury. She was married to Robert William Shumaker for 67 years, who preceded her in death in 2008. had 2 children; Robert Wayne (Bobby) Shumaker who preceded her in death in 2006 and Susan (Kim) Chaney of Fort Wayne. During her lifetime she had enjoyed bowling, sewing, flower gardening and traveling with her husband Bob to all the states except Alaska and Hawaii and also spent many enjoyable winters in Florida. She enjoyed watching college basketball (which created a rivalry between her IU Hoosiers and Bobs beloved Kentucky Wildcats!), golf and NASCAR racing on television. She also belonged to a card club with a group of lady friends for over 55 years. She was an exceptional homemaker who loved to bake and do handwork, making beautiful doilies, baby outfits and afghans which she loved to share with everyone. She was a warm and friendly person and a good neighbor to many over the years. She was a wonderful, loving and caring grandmother to five grandchildren; Randy Shumaker of Tollhouse, Cali, Lauri ( Darrin) Werling of Ossian, Amanda (Andy) Jones of Leo, Mindi (Kent) Herstad of Markle and Steve (Jennifer) Ball, Jr. of Huntington; nine great grandchildren with another due in ; two step grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter. She was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Lavona and Virginia; and two brothers, Harvey and Paul. Service is a 2:00 PM on , 18, 2011 with Pastor Mike Smith officiating at Elzey Patterson Rodak For s, 6810 Old Trail Road in Waynedale with visitation one hour prior.
