Obituary: Marjorie A. Stanley Marjorie was born 11, 1933 in Goodhue, MN to Patrick H. and Honora M. McCartin. The family moved to Chippewa Falls, WI where Marjorie was raised. She was preceded in death by her older sister Joan and her older brother James. Her younger sister is Patricia. Her Mother passed while Marjorie was in High School. Her Father passed in 1970. She was married to Edward F. Stanley on 29, 1957 in Chippewa Falls, WI. attended college at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. moved to Duluth, MN while working for Western Electric. 6 ½ years they were transferred to New Jersey to work at Bell Telephone Laboratories. In of 1966 they were transferred to BTL in Naperville. lived in Lisle for 50 plus years. Marjorie had 4 children, Michael Stanley, Loraine and James Williamson, Thomas and Diana Stanley and Paul and Kim Stanley. She had 4 grandchildren; Samuel and Patrick Stanley; Timothy and Matthew Williamson. She was active at the St Joan of Arc Parish and grade school. She served in many roles for her Church including Eucharistic Minister. She worked outside of the home when her children were grown, first as a clerk at a dry cleaner, then as a gift wrapper in a department store. She taught ice skating for first graders. She was an accomplished quilter and seamstress. She was an avid baker. She passed away on 12, 2017. Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 8:00pm on , 15, 2017. Visitation will be at Blake-Lamb ; 5015 Lincoln Ave. (IL Rt-53), Lisle IL 60532. The Mass will be at 10:00am on , 16, 2017. The Mass will be celebrated at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church; 820 Division St.; Lisle IL 60532. In Lieu of flowers, gifts to St Joan of Arc School (https://school.sjalisle.org) or the Autism Society (http://www.autism-society.org) would be appreciated. |

Obituary: John Jerry Jerome Stanley, age 76 of Rock Falls, passed away , 15, 2016 at CGH Medical in Sterling. Jerry was born on 30, 1939 in Dixon; the son of John Henry and Helen Evelyn (Seloover) Stanley. He graduated from Rock Falls High School and went on to play college football. He graduated from Pestalozzi-Froebel Teachers . Jerry met his wife, Patricia Schultz at ISU; they were married on 5, 1961 in Braidwood, IL. He had served his community in Braidwood as a volunteer firefighter and a police officer while being employed as a teacher and a coach. He then taught at Rock Falls Jr. High, Newman Central Catholic High School and subbed at many local schools. Jerry was also a member of the Rock Falls High School and East Coloma School Boards and a Broker/Owner with Realty World. He was a lifetime Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Jerrys love for Christ, his wife, children and grandchildren was undeniable, but it didn stop there. He loved every student and athlete he coached and taught. Though his presence will be missed, the memories of his generosity, positivity and happiness will forever be instilled in our hearts. Survivors include his wife, Patricia; four children, John (Kathy) Stanley of Roscoe, IL, David (Kim) Stanley of Dixon, IL, Kim (Ned) Gillette of Roscoe, IL and Amy (Mike) Berentes of Rock Falls, IL; eleven grandchildren, Kacia (Joseph) Steiner, Andrew Stanley, Jordan (Emily Hyder) Stanley, Nathan (Natalie) Gillette, Brandon (Katie Zorek) Stangeland, Allie (Erik) Wright, Taylor (Luke Prososki) Stanley, Dylan Stanley, Shae (Matt Oswalt) Stanley, Bryce Stanley and Michael Berentes; two great grandchildren, Jordy Steiner and Ella Wright; brother in law, Jim Prescott and sister in law, Nancy Stanley and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen Stanley; three siblings, Marilyn (Gail) Stanley, Peggy Prescott and William Stanley. Visitation will be , 18, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at New Life Lutheran Church in Sterling. service will be held , 19, 2016 at the church at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend William Sullivan, Reverend Paul White and Reverend Adam Roe officiating.
