Obituary: Nesim Sitton, age 83 years old, died 22, 2016 at home in Waukegan, Illinois of natural causes. Nesim was born in Panama, Central America on 16th, 1933 to Jacobo and Aurora Sitton. Arrived in the United States in the early 1950s where he met and married Marilyn (nee Nozick) whom preceded him in death in 2002. Long-time resident of Skokie, Illinois and father to David Sitton, Roberta (Ron) Knight, and Rochelle (Stephen) Scarbalis. Grandfather of Suzanne Knight, Sarah Knight, Amy Scarbalis, and Ben Scarbalis. Brother in Law to Jan (Lee) Kaufman and Eugene Nozick. Nesim, or Tito as he was known by to many friends and colleagues, worked for Ozark Airlines as an aircraft mechanic for nearly 30 years until his retirement. Memorial services to be private. |

Obituary: Dorothy Helen Sitton, 95, of Jacksonville, IL, formerly of Peoria, passed away at 10: 45 pm on , 28, 2010 at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville. She was born on 6, 1915 in Jacksonville, IL to Lewis H. and Harriet E (Broadhead) Freitag. She married Clyde York in of 1932 in Decatur. She later married Raymond F. Sitton on 10, 1949 in Roodhouse, IL. He preceded her in death on May 17, 2004 in Peoria. Her parents, two children, Shirley Roach, and Ronald York, five brothers, five sisters, and two great-grandsons also preceded her in death. Surviving are seven grandchildren, Ella Scaggs of Jacksonville, IL; Bridget (Kenneth) Rahe of Bluffs, IL; Ronald York Jr., Glenn (Brenda) York and Tracey (Brad) Garner all of Jacksonville, IL; Jeff (Kellie) York of Eldred, IL, and Sherry (Tom) Hopkin of Jacksonville, IL. Also surviving are fifteen great-grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren. Dorothy was very dedicated to education, had a strong love of reading, and donated to the Alpha Park Library, Limestone School District #136, Jacksonville School District #117, and to the Jacksonville Public Library. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on , 2, 2010 at The Chapel of Peace at Parkview in Peoria. are through Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Mrs. Sitter was preceded in death by her husband, Hollie Sitter; parents, Willis and Julia, nee Wylie, Moore; siblings, Willis Moore, Ferne Moore and Della (Ross) Abbey and a nephew, Donald Abbey. Surviving are her loving and devoted daughter, Pamela (Eugene) Kramer; granddaughter, Lauren (Matthew) Theuerkauf; nephew Jerry (Anne) Abbey and a niece, Barbara Oestreich.
