Obituary: GREEN VALLEY ~ Alice Jean Singleton, 58, of Green Valley, passed away at 8:22 a.m. , 10, 2015 at her home. Born 6, 1956 in Pekin to Albert “Pete” and Rosie (Kinsel) Smith, she married Gerald M. Singleton in the summer of 1971 in Pekin. He survives. Also surviving are her mother of Pekin; two sons, Jeremiah L. (Michelle) Singleton of Sunnyland and Brian S. ( ) Singleton of Delavan; one daughter, Amanda J. (Peter) Hackney of Washington; thirteen grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three brothers, John (Becky) Smith, Sam Smith and Mike Smith, all of Pekin and three sisters, Nancy Kaufman of Pekin, Christine Davis and Diane Magee, both of Mattoon. She was preceded in death by her father; one son, Joey Allen Singleton on 11, 1999 in Green Valley and one brother, James Smith. Alice especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, sewing, blanket making and dress making. She also enjoyed watching movies and shopping. She last had worked for Sonic. Her visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. , 15, 2015 at Preston-Hanley s & Crematory in Pekin, with a graveside service following at Green Valley . Rev. Rusty Kaufman will officiate. Obituary: John D. Singletary 66, of Lockport, passed away , 20, 2016. John was born in Joliet to the late Harry and Rosemond (nee Johnson) Singletary. Beloved husband of Lori (nee Gorski); loving father of Katie Lynn Singletary and Cheryl Ketelaar; cherished Grampy of Tucker James, Brittany and Jessica; great grandfather of Kaden; dear brother of Janet (Randy) Hubbs and the late Judith Rae; loved brother-in-law of Denise (Dan) Volz, the late Cathy Gorski and the late Laura Ogilvie; special uncle of Sara, Nicole, Lindsey, Ashley, Danny Jo, James, Tyler, Nicklaus, Jacob, Sylvia, Tiffany and Jennifer; dear son-in-law of Leonard Gorski, Neva Lundsrud and Paul Lundsrud. John loved collecting coins and was the true definition of a family man. He loved riding his Harley Davidson, fishing and boating in his favorite place on Lake Nokomis in Tomahawk, Wisconsin where the family had another home for 10 years. He was proudly part of the United Steel Workers Union (USW) Local 7-507 and was retired from Unocal Chemical. Family will receive friends at Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S.
