Obituary: Susan K. Semelroth, 67,of Bartonville, passed away 4, 2011 at 6:08 AM at her home with hospice care. She was born 27, 1943 in Peoria, Illinois. She is the daughter of Christian and Phyllis (Taylor) Rosenbohm. She is survived by her husband, David R. Semelroth who she married 16, 1966 in Bartonville. She also is survived by two sons, Brian (Shari) Semelroth of Bellevue, Illinois and Russell (Cherilyn)Semelroth of Peoria. She has six grandchildren, Jessi and Britani Bridges, Tyler Frazee, of Bellevue, Tyler Semelroth of Peoria, Conner and Camren Semelroth of Bellevue . She attended Bartonville Grade School and was a graduate of Limestone High School in 1961. She attended ISU and Carthage from 1961 to 1964. She worked for Famous and Barr the first 10 years of the stores opening in Peoria. She was a breast cancer survivor and was in remission for almost four years. She participated in several support groups, and walked every year in the Race For The Cure. Favorite past times in her life was seeing theatrical performances, band concerts, attending family functions, trips to Germany, a hot air balloon ride, simply watching birds and squirrels in the back yard, watching all grandchildren succeed in multiple sport activities, and spreading love and kindness with everyone she knew. For everyone that knew her as a neighbor, friend, cousin, wife, mother, and grandmother, her beautiful smile and positive outlook will be forever cherished. Everyone Sue touched in her life knows that she added a little laughter in a day, and whole lot of sunshine in our hearts. Sue was affiliated with Joyce Meyer Ministries. She attended the Joyce Meyer conference in St. Louis every year, and found strength and harmony with what the ministries provided. We would like to extend our special thanks and gratitude to the hospice care associates for their time and effort in making all of us as comfortable as possible. We have been truly blessed by your care! A Prayer Service will be led by Rev. Eimo Hinrichs , 7, 2011 at 3:30 P.M. at the Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Celebration of Sues life will follow from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM . Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Wildlife Prarie Park andor the Neighborhood House. Obituary: Elias I. Semaan, age 84, of Peoria, passed away Nov. 24, 2015 at 5:35 p.m. at his residence. He was born 20, 1931 in Tyre, Lebanon, to Ibrahim and Suria Semaan. He married Mariam Zohrob Oct. 20, 1963 in Lebanon. She survives along with one daughter, Jeanette (Rick) Hogue of Pekin, three sons: Ghassan Gus (Barbara) Semaan of Livonia, MI, John (Nadia) Semaan of Pensacola, FL, Joseph Semaan of Irvine CA, seven grandchildren: Ashlee, Jason, Naomi, Tim, Jonathon, Christopher, and Jessica. He is also survived by three sisters: Jeanette Wilkinson, and two other sisters in Europe. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and four sisters. Elias was a Cabinet Maker and also worked at Caterpillar, Inc. retiring in 1990. He was a member of the UAW 974, and Redeemer Presbyterian Church. services will be Nov. 28, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, 2025 N. Kickapoo Creek Road in Peoria. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services at the church. Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton in Peoria is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Resurrection in Peoria on Nov. 30, 2015 at 11 a.m. Memorials may be made to the family for Eliass dialysis and cancer charities.
