Obituary: Rev. Jesse J. Seiber Jesse James Seiber, 96, died at home on 1, 2010. He was born in Marissa, IL, 28, 1913 to John E. and Minnie V. (Cessna) Seiber. He had two older sisters, Lorine and Blanch Seiber. He was a St. Louis Cardinal fan since 1928. His first job, during and after high school, was as a coalminer. At age 28, he was called to the ministry and graduated from McKendree at Lebanon, Illinois. He married Bertha M. Hill on 13, 1944. The couple had 2 sons, James Edward and Roy Gene, who gave them 4 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. During his service as a Methodist minister in the Southern Illinois Conference, he had the following 13 appointments: Kane, Coffeen, Bone Gap, Medora/Piasa, Joppa, Enfield, Brookport, West Frankfort Central, Ullin, Centralia Faith, East St. Louis Altersgate, Mt. Vernon Wesley and Sandoval/Boulder. He retired from the ministry in 1980 For the past 15 years, he attended the Chatham United Methodist Church in Chatham, IL. Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, sisters and wife. He is survived by sons James (wife Susan) of Springfield, IL, and Roy (wife Julie) of Kelso, WA; grandchildren Sinta Seiber-Lane, Jon Seiber, Wren Visser and Joy Seiber; six great-grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at 5, 2010 at the Chatham United Methodist Church 104 E. Chestnut, Chatham, IL from 2:00 pm until time of funeral services there at 4:00 pm with Rev. Sara Isbell officiating . Graveside services will be at 12 noon 6, 2010 at the Tilden , Tilden, IL Rev. Sara Isbell will officiate. In lieu of flowers, those that wish may direct memorial contributions to the Chatham United Methodist Church 104 E. Obituary: Marvin F. Seibel, 85, of Belleville, Illinois born, 3, 1930 in Denhoff, North Dakota, passed away, , 28, 2016, at home, surrounded by family. Marvin grew up in North Dakota and at the age of 21 went to serve in the United States Air Force. He honorably served his country, logging over 20,000 hours of flight time in his career. Towards the end of his military journey, he was stationed at Scott Air Force Base, where he retired after 20 years, as a Tech Sergeant. He remained in Belleville, where he was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. He was an avid Nascar fan and his favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. His love for cars wasn limited to the track; he loved working on cars and considered himself a Dodge Man. He enjoyed traveling and sightseeing with his wife and family. He was always up for a debate or discussion on how to solve the worlds problems. He was a hard worker all his life, but still found time for his family. He was a loving, generous man, who will truly be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Martha, nee Wahl, Seibel; a sister, Carol Eisenbeis; a son-in-law, Thomas Braun; and a brother-in-law, Ellis Eisenbeis. Surviving are his loving wife of 65 years, Esther A. Seibel, nee Sprenger; his children, Kenneth (Kathy) Seibel and Cindy (Larry) Kreissler; his grandchildren, Tom (Amy) Braun, Tim Braun, Jason Seibel, and Nicole Seibel; step grandchildren, Kim, Ryan, David, Kara, and Eric; six great grandchildren; 9 step great grandchildren; a brother, Alan (Diane) Seibel; two sisters-in-law, Hilda Stuber and Alvina Kummer; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorials are appreciated to Partners4Pets, a o kill animal shelter, in Troy, Illinois. Condolences may also be expressed online at www.lakeviewfuneralhm.com.
