Obituary: Thomas Myron Sitton, age 83, of Rome, GA, died at a local hospital on , 16, 2015. Mr. Sitton was born in Macon, GA, on 28, 1931, and was the son of the late Raymond Lindsay Sitton ad Avis Thompson Sitton. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Avis Symons and one brother, Ray Sitton. Mr. Sitton lived in various towns throughout Georgia and moved to Rome in 1962. He joined the United States Army and served his country proudly while serving in Korea. He was an avid reader and loved working crossword puzzles. He was proud of the fact that he was part Cherokee Indian. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. More than anything he loved being with his family. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Norma Sitton, of Rome, to whom he was married for 63 years; one son, David M. Sitton (Nese), Albany, GA; one daughter, Kathy S. Washington, Rome; grandchildren, Laura Manning (Chuck), Carrollton, Nathaniel R. Lincoln, Bluffton, SC; one great grandchild, Zoe Lincoln, Guyton, GA; and one sister, Juanita Peterson, Portsmouth, VA. services for Mr. Sitton will be held , 19, 2015, at 3 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3300 Garden Lakes Pkwy., Rome, GA 30165 with Bishop Nick Filetti officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2 until 3 p.m. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. Daniels has charge of the arrangements. |

Obituary: Priscilla Patty Edwards Sitten, 86, passed away 29, 2017 at a local hospital. Visitation will be held on , May 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park . A Chapel service will follow at 11 a.m. Graveside services will be private at the request of the family. Rev. Bryan Whitfield will officiate. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Sitten. Mrs. Sitten was an active member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and Greenbriar makers Club. It was very important to her to serve her community, neighbors, friends, and most importantly her family. She is survived by her son, Tom Sitten (Becky). Nona is also survived by her grandchildren, Kimmy Jones (Jeremy), Tommy Sitten (Tiffany), Krista White (Chad), Andy Sitten (Jessica), and great-grandchildren, Thomas, Carter and Jackson Jones, Presley Sitten, Banks White, Aedyn and Asher Sitten; and several nieces and a nephew. Obituary: Mr. Howard Alfred Siswick, age 76, of Lithia Springs, GA passed away , May 11, 2015. He was born 26, 1939 in Springfield, Massachusetts. Mr. Siswick loved people and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved art, studied art history and was an artist, especially classics. He was a photographer. While he was not a professional photographer, he enjoyed taking pictures. Mr. Siswick was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Elliott Siswick and Mary Ruth Howard. He is survived by his wife, Mary Siswick; a daughter Beth Krueger and husband Dennis; two grandchildren, Paige and Jonathan; as well as numerous other family and friends.
