Obituary: SYDNOR, Robert J, age 96 died Wed Aug 5, 2015 in Largo, FL. Born on Feb 20, 1919 in Nuttalburg, WV. He was the son of Robert Edward and Winnie Ellen Withrow Sydnor. Bob was preceded in death by the love of his life, Beryl Fullen Sydnor. Bob served his country during WW II as a Seabee on Guam in the Naval Construction Battalion. his discharge, Bob completed his GED examination and entered college where he earned his education degree. He accepted a teaching job in MacClenny, FL. He continued his college studies and earned a Master's Degree in education from the University of Florida. With that degree in hand, he accepted a teaching job at Largo High School. He was an instructor in the Industrial Arts where he taught for 26 years. Bob is survived by a sister-in-law, Lois D Fullen of Union WV. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly and often visited to share their lives with their favorite aunt and uncle. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donation to the Largo Historical Society or Suncoast Hospice Foundation. A graveside service will be held on Aug 8th at 3 PM in Serenity Gardens Memorial Park in Largo. For condolences please visit our website at serenityfuneralhomelargo.com. |
