Obituary: Karlvon J.G. Strasser, 96, passed away peacefully, on May 18, 2017. His family was lovingly by his side during his final days. He has gone on to be with his Lord and Savior and to be reunited with his dear wife, Lucy. Karl was born on 24, 1920, in New Orleans, LA. He grew up in Jackson, MS. He moved to Pensacola, FL before the start of World War II. During the war, Karl served in the U. S. Army Engineers, in New Guinea, rising to the rank of MSgt. serving our country, he went to work with Yonge, Look & Morrison Architects. He continued to work with Look & Morrison Architects until his retirement. retirement, he returned to work for Amspacher & Amspacher and with Baskerville Donovan for several years. Karl had a hand in designing and building many public and commercial buildings around Pensacola and N.W. Florida. Karlvon was an active member of East Hill Baptist Church for more than 60 years. He met his beloved wife, Lucille Creasman, at the church soon after she had moved to Pensacola from Athens, TN. He was a faithful member of the church choir, served as a church deacon for decades and chaired many, many committees over the years. Karl sang with the Choral Society of Pensacola, for several years. Preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Lucille C. Strasser. He is survived by his three children, Michael Strasser (Angeline), Karla McClain (Ronnie) and Karen Dannheisser (Tom); grandchildren, Chase McClain (Gretchen), Laura Dannheisser Young (Joseph), Colby McClain, Leah Dannheisser Fishbein (Ben), Berengaria Adams and Cecile Strasser; great grandchildren, Chandler and Lucille. The family wants to thank Karls loving, attentive caregivers: Keytha, Anita, Maureen, Darlene, Edie and many caring nurses and therapists. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, University of West Florida Historic Trust or a charity of your choice. service will be held at 3:00 p.m., , May 20, 2017 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Rev. Pat Mobley officiating. A private interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., . Obituary: Adelaide E Strassberg, 79 of Clearwater, died on 24, 2015. She was born on 20, 1936 in Toldedo, Ohio, the daughter of Ernest and Eunice (Mitchell) Kieser. Adelaide attended Ohio Wesleyan University where she earned her degree in Elementary Education. She began her teaching career soon after. She later moved to New York and married Donald M. Strassberg. In 1980, they moved the family to Clearwater where she helped her husband grow Anchor Pool Service into a thriving business until their retirement in 1995. But her greatest accomplishment was raising their four children and she will most be remembered by all for being the Family Rock and “the glue that kept them together”. She is survived by her husband, Donald, her children, Robert “Rocky” (Catherine), Jenine Mackinnon, Jill (David) Shinneman, and Kathy (Scott) McGourley, her sister, Nancy (Stanley) Tangalakis, her grandchildren, Kayla, Ayla, Devon , Kyle, Kory, Katie, Kody, Mallory, and Megan, and her great grandchildren, Adelyn, Shylah, and Landon, A service of remembrance will be held on , 29 at 2 PM at Sylvan Abbey , 2853 Sunset Point Rd Clearwater, FL 33759 and will be followed by a Reception at Countryside Country Club, 3001 Countryside Boulevard, Clearwater, FL 33761.
