Obituary: AMSC GEORGE R. STEPPE 1937 - 2010 AMSC George R. Steppe, 73, of Milton, died , 27, 2010 peacefully at home with family by his side. Mr. Steppe was born 22, 1937 in Pontotoc, Mississippi to Roy Lee Steppe and Annie Watts Steppe. He moved to Milton from Bay Minette, Alabama. He retired from the U. S. Navy in 1980 after 21 years of service. Mr. Steppe was a member of the Fleet Reserve. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Annie Lavelle Steppe. Survivors include his wife, Mae Louise Steppe; son, George Ray Steppe, Jr.; daughters, Debbie Louise King and Lesia Lynn Fail; brothers, Hayward Steppe, Douglas Steppe and Woodrow Steppe; sister, Linda Cooper; eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. services will be held at 12:30 p.m., , 01, 2010 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Brother Nathan King and Pastor Larry Webb officiating. Interment will follow at Barrancas National with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., at the funeral home. Obituary: Terry A. Stepp died 8, 2014 at Consulate care in Tallahassee, FL. Terry was born 24, 1945 in Fort Worth, Texas. The family moved to the Panama Canal Zone where Terry and his brother and sister grew up. He graduated from the University of Florida of Law. He made the JAG Corps a career, retiring from the Army and later the Department of Management Services. He is survived by his wife, Sheila, whom he met in high school in the Canal Zone and his two sons T. Allyn Stepp of Mobile, AL and Michael W. Stepp of St. ine, FL. He predeceased his father, T.A. Stepp, who is 93 years old. His mother, Rema P. Stepp, passed in 2000. He will be missed by his four grandchildren, Shelby, Makayla, Meghan and Keegan. He is survived by his sister, Jeri A. Linning of Tallahassee and his brother, Larry D. Stepp of Panama City Beach, FL. There will not be a memorial service at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Arlington National for family and friends. |

Obituary: Robert Stanley Stepp, 80, passed away peacefully on , 14, 2010. Mr. Stepp was born in Ford City, Pennsylvania on 20, 1930 to the late Stanley Frances Stepp and Barbara Smith Stepp. A life-long student of the piano, Mr. Stepps love for the instrument bagan at an early age. He began playing when he was 10 years old and started playing seriously in high school concerts launching a brilliant career as a concert pianist. Mr. Stepp attended the respected Sherwood School of Music in Chicago, Illinois, where he had the good fortune to study under Herbert Renisen and Leo Podolski, a respected concert pianist of the era. While at Sherwood, Mr. Stepp earned two Bachelor degrees and a Masters in Music and Music Education, respectively. would serve him well later in life as a gifted music teacher. Mr. Stepp relocated to Jacksonville in the late 1950s where he began working and teaching in a local music shop. In 1964 he met and married Katharyn Griffis Kinney and became the stepfather of Alfred and Mary. He considered his greatest achievement to be performing as a concert pianist with the Chicago Symphony, and while music occupied the majority of his time, Mr. Stepp was also a highly accomplished in the art of faceting. He is credited with creating the ackgammon cut a unique design that was featured in the international publication, Lapidary Journal. Mr. Stepps legacy will be the lasting gift of music that he passed on to hundreds of students during his career. He encouraged them all to be the best they could possibly be. Survivors include a step-son, Alfred L. Kinney, and a step-daughter, Mary K. Smith, both of Jacksonville,FL.; Son-in-law, Steven Risher Smith Sr., and two grandchildren, Steven Risher Smith and Katharyn Evans Smith. The family will have a private Interment at Riverside Memorial Park of Jacksonville, FL. A Memorial Mass to celebrate his life will be held , 11:00am, 19, 2010 at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 1771 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
