Obituary: Marion D. Stegner, beloved matriarch of the Stegner family, passed peacefully by Gods grace in the comfort of her own home on , , 3, 2016 at the age of 87. A native of New Jersey, she celebrated the golden years of her life as a proud resident of Jacksonville, Florida. On 18, 1948, Marion married the love of her life, Frederick A. Stegner in Newark, New Jersey. were blessed with four beautiful and healthy children who took center stage in their lives. As a devoted mother and passionate hostess, Marion was acclaimed for her famous gatherings after weekly Mass. She would spend hours in the kitchen prepping a variety of abundant and decadent dishes for the entire family to gather around her enormous banquet table, perfectly set with her finest china, and centered underneath that dazzling crystal chandelier. Wine flowed, jokes were shared, and children laughed, but most importantly, no one ever left hungry. These precious and highly cherished family gatherings brought her a lifetime of warm memories that would comfort her for decades to come. Marion served as a dedicated nurse helping countless patients over the course of her 40-year career. A reverent Catholic, she had two primary devotions: the Rosary of our Blessed Mother, which she recited daily, and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. retiring from nursing, she became an avid collector of a wide-variety of many treasured trinkets and fine figurines. She will always be remembered as a strong and supportive matriarch whose greatest past time was visiting with her family while recounting those unforgettable moments that she held so deeply within her heart. Marion was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frederick A. Stegner in 1984, her son, Anthony J. Stegner in 2008 who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 58, and her daughter, Kathleen M. Stegner who passed away in 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 64. Marion is survived by her eldest son, Frederick A. Stegner Jr. of Springfield, Ohio, and her youngest son, Michael J. Stegner of Jacksonville, Florida who was her primary care giver during her final years; she leaves behind a burgeoning generation of new life with nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. We celebrate the life of this noble matriarch with visiting hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on evening, 13, 2016 at Hardage-Giddens , 5753 Blanding Boulevard in Jacksonville, Florida. A Rosary will be prayed here in her honor starting at 6 p.m. during the visitation period. The funeral service will be held the following morning on , 14, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Hardage-Giddens , followed by interment at Jacksonville Memorial Gardens , 111 Blanding Boulevard in Orange Park, Florida. |

Obituary: STEGMAN, ANN, Born 22, 1939, in Evansville, IN. (Julia) Ann learned the meaning of love from her parents, Richard and Evelyn Goerlitz. and spent the rest of her life sharing comfort and kindness. Ann was educated in Indiana schools and received a degree from Ball State. She was a licensed cosmetologist and Registered Nurse. Being adventurous, she accepted a job driving cars on the interstates between auto dealerships, She loved to fly so earned her pilot's license. She enjoyed reading and could complete a 500-page book in a day. Erwin John "Steg" Stegman married Ann on 3, 1963 and the couple eventually moved to Florida. had a joyous life and traveled the world together. He predeceased her in 1994, after which she continued to travel, Ann loved being active. Over the years she volunteered with Habitat for Humanity (twice Volunteer of the Year), Loch Haven Festival of Trees, Share-A-Bear, Operation Christmas Child and mightily supported the Jim Glenn Ministry's food and clothing closet at Dover Shores Baptist Church. She loved music and joined Sweet Adelines, an international a capella barbershop-style singing organization for women. Ann sang with the Greater Orlando Chorus and Sound of Sunshine Chorus, Orlando, where she competed at the international level. retiring from their risers, she traveled with and supported her friends in the Toast of Tampa Show Chorus. She was an avid Orlando Magic Fan. She also was a true cat fanatic and always had a furry buddy in her care. Ann enjoyed seeing people smile and was generous with her material resources, her time, hugs, hospitality and love. Often her acts of kindness were totally random and anonymous. In 2001, a friend walked Ann through the doors of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, Orlando. She decided to make it her church home. Over the years the members became her valued family. She served three years as a church Elder in a role that indulged her passion for helping those in need. if she was at church, she was in her apron and helping in the kitchen. She also volunteered to fold bulletins, work at the annual bazaar, assist the quitters and participated in her church circle, the Circle of Light. Her passion for making people feel loved always prevailed, so she took it upon herself to be the church greeter every morning. She knew every member by name! Ann enjoyed life, Her five-year battle with lung cancer was a show of courage and grace and she was active to the end. Her cat, Licorice, and a multitude of friends survive her. Ann's outrageous sense of humor, impatience, steadfastness and zest for life will be missed.
