Obituary: Betty Ann Norris Stedman, 81, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died peacefully on , 27, 2015. She was born in Ruston, Louisiana, on 20, 1933, the daughter of Elgin Lewis and Clara V Moore Norris. While attending Louisiana Tech University she married Roy Edward Stedman, who preceded her in death in 2009. spent their 56 years of married life loving their family and others, making music, working, laughing, teaching, and serving their Lord through their church. Ann was an accomplished musician. She was church organist or pianist for many years and whoever heard her play was blessed beyond measure. Ann taught piano and organ to many students and is remembered fondly. Her family was her joy; Ann's sister, Kay, was her best friend. Ann was welcomed into heaven by her husband, her son, Roy Elgin, her infant granddaughter, Sophie, her parents, and many other beloved relatives. She left behind her children Mike and Susan Schooler, Sandra Steely, Tom and Julie Mosey, and Rob and Laura Janick. She also leaves her grandchildren: Alison and Will Gray, Matt and Tara Steely, Megan Steely Howard, Krystina and Christopher Gage, Courtney Janick, Samantha Mosey, and James Mosey. Also, six great-grandchildren: Lauren Howard, Taylor Steely, Eden Gray, Levi Steely, Chase Howard, and Vincent Gray. Obituary: ELIZABETH CATHERINE LIBBY STEDHAM 1924 - 2015 Elizabeth Catherine Libby Stedham was born 19, 1924 to William L. and Nealy A. Mitchell. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of 17, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth was a true artist. She painted award winning pictures giving most to family and friends. She also enjoyed playing the organ and arranging flowers from her garden. Libby loved going to their beach cottage in Destin, FL and they made many trips in their motorhome. She was a member of Warrington Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Carl and Samuel Mitchell. Elizabeth is survived by her best friend, love of her life, her husband of seventy three years, Carroll Stedham; brother, Gene Mitchell (Gail); brothers-in-law, Lynn Stedham (Pat) and Gene Stedham (Louise); many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly; and their very special neighbors. Obituary: Laurence W. Stedem, 75, of Jupiter, FL passed away , 3, 2016. He was born in Somers Point, New Jersey to Gisela and Laurence Stedem and was raised in Ocean City, New Jersey. Laurence graduated from Holy Spirit High School in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Larry was an Ocean City lifeguard before joining the Air Force and was stationed at Patrick Air Force Base. Obituary: Daniel E. Stedem, Founding Member of Atlantis Golf Club and longtime West Palm Beach Resident, Dies at 89 Daniel E. Stedem, founding member of Atlantis Golf Club and longtime West Palm Beach resident, passed peacefully on 17, 2016 in Lakeland, FL. He was a larger than life personality known to many for his candor and one-of-a-kind laugh. Whether you met him on the sales floor of his namesake car dealership Dan Stedem Ford or over a muddled Jack Daniels Old Fashioned anywhere in the world, he was a character you would not soon forget. He was accepting of everyone, believing that "people are people, and he was fair to a fault. Dan was born in Buffalo, NY on 23, 1927 to Lilly Fern Jacobs Stedem and Dr. Daniel Edward Stedem. He grew up in Kenmore, NY, and upon graduation from Kenmore High, he entered the US Navy. His received his basic training at Sampson Naval Training and was a Corpsman for the duration of WWII. discharge, he attended Sampson in Geneva, NY, while enlisted in the Army National Guard. In 1948, he returned to Kenmore and enrolled at Canisius , while also working full time at Dunlop Tires. He married Phyllis Ann Nonemacher in of 1948 and the two started a family in 1950, but not before Dan was called upon for the Korean War, where he served as an Army Gunnery Sergeant at Fort Stewart in Georgia. At discharge, he returned to Kenmore, finished his studies at Canisius , and began his automotive career at Kenmore Motors in 1951. He started as a salesman and was promoted quickly to Sales Manager, then General Manager, at the same time earning the "Ford Top Hatter" ranking as one of Ford Motor s top 50 salesman in the country. In of 1957, he and Phyllis opened Dan Stedem Ford in Orchard Park, NY moving their family to S. Meadow Drive in the village where all five of their children were raised. While in Orchard Park, he was active in the Chamber, and was a co-founder of the original Orchard Park Quaker Days. In addition, he served as a Director of the NYS Auto Dealers Association and Chairman of the Buffalo Ford Dealers Advertising Association. His dealership was a pillar of the community and routinely received Ford Motor s highest honor, "The Distinguished Achievement Award. In his spare time, he and Phyllis enjoyed golfing at East Aurora Country Club, and spent time at their Florida home in Atlantis, FL where he was a founding member of Atlantis Golf Club and served as the Clubs President. Dan relocated to Florida in 1982, serving as Vice President of Stedem Ford Inc., the familys second-generation dealership, and later as Vice President of Hyundai of Slidell in Slidell, LA. Dans early etirement from running a dealership day to day gave him time to travel with his wife, golf, play cards and enjoy the company of his many friends in New York and Florida. In 2013, Dan moved to Lakeland, FL, where he lived until his death. To fully acknowledge 89 years of Dan's life stories and accomplishments would require volumes, not these few paragraphs. Dan will long be remembered for his empathy, his outspokenness, his smile and unique humor, his shared stories, sayings and philosophies, his "dapper attire", his love of life and especially the love of his life Phyllis. It will be these memories that will remain and sustain all who knew and loved him. His wife, Phyllis, and his brother, William Stedem, preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister, Joan "Pooch" Keller of Kenmore, NY and his five children: Michael & Candace Stedem, New Orleans, LA; Timothy & Nancy Stedem, Valrico, FL; Patricia & Wilhelm Schmelzer, Boynton Beach, FL; Daniel & Julia Stedem, Northville, MI; Thomas & Rachelle Stedem, Lakeland, FL; as well as 11 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.
