Obituary: Commander Donald Francis Springer, SC USN (Retired), passed away on , 14, 2013 at 6:24 a.m. in Orange Park, Florida. He was born on 16, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri to Albert Charles and Helen Elizabeth Moellinger Springer. He graduated from McBride High School and St. Louis University. He served in the Vietnam War as a Supply Officer on the USS Telfair APA 210 and the USS DLG 10. Commander Springer received several letters of commendation and accolades from several Asian countries. He received the Bronze Star and many other awards and ribbons. His duty stations included Olathe, Kansas; Adak, Alaska; San Diego, California; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Taipei, Taiwan; NAS Jacksonville, Florida; Brooklyn, New York; and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Commander Springer retired on 1, 1980 after proudly serving his country for 25 years. Don is survived by his children, David Springer (Belinda), Michele Springer, MSgt Kerry Springer (USAF Retired), Kellie Lehr (Steve) and Sean Devine Springer, grandchildren, 1Lt Carter Houndas (USA Reserve), Catherine Springer, Matthew and Lily Lehr. Special love to Charlie and Grace Meyer, Jo Corrao and family, Captain Richard OLoughlin and family, Bill and Genevieve Carter and family, Cathy Hale and family and many other loving extended family and friends. Visitation with the family will be , 19, 2013, from 5-7 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Blanding Blvd Chapel, 5753 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida. Obituary: Bond Springer Bond Bickford Springer was born on 13, 1983 in Fort Lauderdale Florida to John Anthony Springer and Leigh Bickford Springer. Tragically, he departed this world 4, 2016 in Chester, South Carolina as a result of injuries sustained in a skydiving accident. Bond grew up in Boca Raton, Florida, graduated from Boca Raton High School in 2002, and from Florida Atlantic University in 2008 with a degree in Business Administration. Bond lived life on his terms. His work included everything from internet sales and car restoration to skydive instruction; as it allowed him to pursue his passion for travel and skydiving. He got serious about skydiving in 2009, earning his USPA A license, D license, USPA Coach rating, and tandem rating. Bond logged over 1000 jumps, he was an avid wingsuit flyer and swooper, and was known in the air as 007. In addition, he earned his Captains License and enjoyed boating and fishing. His passion for travel took him to France, England, Brazil, Panama and Puerto Rico and his dream was to continue to travel the globe, while driving his vintage BMW and skydiving around the world. Bonds infectious smile and glowing demeanor went hand in hand with his passion for thrilling sports: scuba diving, go-carting, body building, drag racing, skiing, snowboarding and especially skydiving. He loved good food, grilling, dark chocolate, cars, ladies and practical jokes. Bond never met a buffet that he did not like. He was a loving son, a playful brother, an easy-going dad, and the most generous friend one could ask for. If you needed help moving or were ever stranded on the side of the road Bond was your man. Bond is survived by his daughter of 3 years, Madisyn Barletta; his mother, Leigh Springer; his father, John Springer; his sisters Brighton, Breiland, and Kennedy Springer; and his brothers Sterling and Price Springer. Obituary: Cape Coral, Florida — Bart Springer, 42, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, passed away in the company of his friends on 7, 2016, at Cape Coral Hospital in Cape Coral, Florida. Bart was born 16, 1973, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, to Charles and Betty Springer. The Springer family moved to Cape Coral in 1985. Bart graduated from Cape Coral High School in 1992 and went on to earn a degree in photography from the Southeast for Photographic Studies in Daytona, Florida. Bart worked as a professional photographer after college and started Bart Springer Incorporated, Advertising Photography, in 2001. He later went on to specialize in architectural photography and photographed many famous homes, including ones owned by Kenny Rogers and Kid Rock. Bart enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his parents and friends. He loved music of all kinds, especially rock and roll. He would always put a smile on your face, light up any room he walked into, and was a true gentleman. He made everyone feel welcome and would gladly lend a hand when called upon. He would be described by those who loved him as generous, kind, gracious and humble. His sense of humor brightened the lives of anyone lucky enough to have known him. There are many people that are honored to have known Bart and call him a friend. In 2010, Bart and his friends started the Vintage Iron Club, a motorcycle restoration club, where he was involved in countless charity donations, festivals and rides. The Club was a place for him and friends to share their hobby, passion for bikes, have fun, and help others. Bart is survived by his father Charles, his aunts Hazel Klein, Mildred Wenger, Wilma Ver Steegh, Lena Patterson and Bernice Bias, and his beloved dog Carlos. Bart was preceded in death by his mother Betty and brother Mart. services for Bart will be held , 10, 2016, at 1:00 PM at Fuller Metz in Cape Coral.
