Obituary: Josephine Spoto, 94, passed away on 16, 2017. A Tampa native born to Sicilian parents, she loved her Italian heritage. She had a long career with the federal government, working at MacDill Airforce Base, the U.S. Embassy in Sweden, and at the Pentagon. her retirement, she moved back to Tampa and earned her bachelor's degree in humanities, with a minor in Italian, from USF. She enjoyed traveling, attending the theater, and opera. She is survived by her loving niece, Patricia Felicione Green, and by many great nieces and nephews. Aunt Jo will be missed dearly. mass will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church Fri., 24, 2017 at 10 am; viewing at 9 am. |

Obituary: Peter (Pete) J. Sposet, 80 of Punta Gorda, FL. died peacefully on 5, 2015 near his family in Westlake, Ohio. He is survived by his sister May, his son Peter, son James(Marcy), son Bruce(Megan), son Nick(Holli) and his close friend David Allen(Erika) and their son Erik as well as his grandchildren Genna, Chris, James, Nicole, Benjamin and Samantha. He is preceded in death by his brother Raymond, Sisters Helen, Rose and companion Elizabeth (Betty) Allen of Punta Gorda, FL. He was born 16, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio of Peter and Julia. He retired from Ohio Bell/AT&T after 30 years of dedicated service to the Greater Cleveland community. He served his country proudly and achieved the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class in 25 years of service in the US Navy Reserves. There will be no services and his family will lay him to rest at the Sarasota National at a later date.
