Obituary: William Lee Snook, 72, died unexpectedly 6, 2016 in Bonita Springs, FL. He was born 1, 1944, to Earl Joe Snook, Jr and Erma (Eby) Snook in Elkhart, IN. He spent much of his early childhood in Southern California but moved back to Elkhart where he attended Concord High School. He was a scholarship gymnast at Indiana State University graduating in 1966. He settled in Elkhart and began his working career as a middle school science teacher at Jimtown Middle School. He transitioned to a career in the recreational vehicle industry starting out as an hourly worker in the cabinet shop and working his way up to an executive position at Coachmen Industries. He served in multiple managerial roles over the years at Coachmen culminating to a position as president of the Shasta RV division. In his later career he joined as a partner at Dicor, Inc. a recreational vehicle supplier in Elkhart. In 2011 after a long and successful career, he retired to Bonita Springs, FL to pursue sun and golf. Throughout his life he was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed water sports, motorcycles, piloting small planes and travel. On most weekends he could be found at his lake cottage in Union, MI where he loved sailing and water skiing. In his retirement life he became an avid golfer and doting grandfather. He is survived by his spouse Sherri (Tyler) Snook of Bonita Springs, FL. He is also survived by his sons Dr. Russell (Dr. Erica) Snook of Irving TX, and Dr. Riley (Elizabeth) Snook of Indianapolis as well as 3 grandchildren, and his former spouse Holly Snook of Goshen. In addition, he is survived by a sister, Nancy (Snook) Warfel who resides in Tacoma, WA. Bill will be remembered by his sense of humor, his adventurous spirit, and his passion for the sporting life. He was a great friend to many and a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Obituary: Norman Snook, 68, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Sat., Dec. 6, 2014 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. A native of Portsmouth, NH, he was born 23, 1946 to Paul and Frances (Rand) Snook, one of four children. A graduate of the class of 1964 of Portsmouth High School, Norman obtained a bachelor of science degree from the University of New Hampshire after serving his country honorably in the U.S. Navy for 7 years. He then began his own business, Stratham Livery Service, which he owned and operated for many years. Upon selling his business, he retired to Florida where he pursued his passion for golf. Norman was a member of Gulf To Lake Church, Crystal River, FL. Norman is survived by his wife, Penny Snook; son Jason N. Snook; his mother Frances R. Snook; brother Paul E. Snook, Jr. (wife Carolyn Cocklin); sisters Nancy Artus and Louise Snook and nieces Cammy Cunningham, Brittany Artus, Sara Hay and Abigail Sewall along with many loving cousins. A memorial service at Gulf to Lake Church will be announced in the near future. He graduated from Sturgis Michigan High School and from Arubright Business in Battle Creek, Michigan. He served his country in the US Army Signal Corps for three years during WWII. He retired as an Accountant and Office Manager at Weyerhouser Co. in Middlebury, Indiana and then moved in 1962 to the Daytona Beach area with his wife from Sturgis, Michigan. He then worked at Treadway moving and storage also as an accountant. He was a member of New Smyrna Bible Chapel where he served as Elder and Treasurer. He also served on the Board of Child Evangelism Fellowship where he served as treasurer for many years. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, whom he married on 24, 1953, Margaret (Gilanyi); Two nephews, Craig Snook of Asheville, NC and Brent Snook of Batavia, OH; Three nieces, Kathy Johnson of Batavia, OH, Susan Lauwers of Findlay, OH, and Julie Dick of Milford, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Morris Snook.
