Obituary: Raymond K. Singletary, Sr.,84, of Lake Wales, passed awary at his residence 13, 2010. Born in Plant City, Florida on 15, 1926 he lived most of his life in Hillsborough . He served in the US Navy from 1943 to 1946 onboard the USS Jordon DE-204. the Navy he began working for the Seaboard Coastline Railroad in 1946 and worked for the railroad until his retirement in May 1991. He then moved to Polk county, living there until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Raymond is survived by his wife of 58 years Hazel A. Presley Singletary, sons: Raymond K. Singletary, Jr. and William (Susan) Singletary. Daughter; Cherie L. (Calvin) Jarrell.
