Obituary: Sindel, Scott Matthew, 32, of Tampa (formerly of New Albany, OH) passed away on 12, 2014 after a 12 year battle with cancer. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on 22, 1982. He is survived by his parents, Spencer and Linda Sindel of New Albany, Ohio; brothers, Brian Sindel (Bodawnya) and Andrew Sindel; loving girlfriend, Brittany Udell of Tampa; nephews, Spencer and Jace Sindel; grandmothers, Vivian Gleckler and Phyllis Sindel; aunts, Bonnie Clark (Larry) and Debbie Collins (Kevin); uncles, Steve Gleckler (Marilyn), William Gleckler, and Rick Sindel(Anne); and many loving cousins and dear friends. He attended Gahanna and New Albany Schools (Ohio.) A 2000 graduate of New Albany High School, Scott had several academic honors and lettered in varsity football (honorable mention all-state), basketball, baseball, and golf. He attended Daniel Webster in Nashua, NH and Florida Tech, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Florida Tech in 2004 with a Bachelor degree in Flight Engineering and Aviation Management. He played baseball and golf for Florida Tech. He became a flight instructor at Florida Tech, worked at Environmental Science Associates (E.S.A.) and flew with Continental Express and Spirit Airlines. Family will receive friends from 2-4pm on , 20 at the Blount & Curry s, West Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Drive, Tampa. A funeral service will follow at 4pm.
