Obituary: Thomas L. Sharp, 80 of Spring Hill, died 18, 2016 at Bayfront Spring Hill Hospital after a yearlong battle with progressive health issues. He leaves behind seven children, Pamela Hagans of Columbus, Ohio (John Hagans); Gwendolyn Sharp and Crystal McDevitt of Groveport, Ohio; Shawn Sharp of New Port Richey; Kyle Sharp of Ocala, (Amber Sharp); Michael Sharp and Kristopher Sharp of Spring Hill. He is also survived by 5 sisters and one brother; step-sons, Brandon Cass and Mathew Duffany (Stephanhie) Duffany; 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and extended family and friends. Thomas retired from the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he earned several medals, including the Bronze Star. He was born in Joy, Kentucky, 18, 1935 where he also went to school before joining the service. His military character carried on throughout his life with the raising of his family and his involvement with his local VFW where he served as Quarter Master for several years. He passed as a hero to his country and to his family. Visitation will be held , 22, 2016 from 12 to 2 at 280 Mariner Boulevard. Service will begin at 2pm in the Brewer Chapel with Father Madden officiating and the VFW to present Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the VFW, Post 8681. |
