Birchwood & Cyndi Hartzell of Jacksonville & Sheila Roe of Middleburg; 9 Great Grand children, Tammy Siddell-Coleman, Roswell, GA, 1st LT Bob Siddell III, serving in overseas, Christopher & Chelsea Sanders of Alpharetta, Charles & Natalie Birchwood, Darren Hartzell of Jacksonville, James Roe, III & Renee Hanneken of Middleburg; her niece Jeannette Gregory, Mandarin & devoted friends Don & Nell Carter, Jacksonville. Daisy was a homemaker, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother. She was a deeply religious woman & proud of her old Florida Heritage. She was descended from original settlers of Pickettville & Jacksonville. She loved writing poetry, growing poinsettias, fishing, being a Shriners Lady & visiting Ft George Island. She was supportive of her husband, sons, family & friends. In the 1990s & early 2000s she was a Goodwill Ambassador for WJXR. She loved going to meet the public & assist on remote broadcasts. She was well cared for during the last years of her life by the wonderful staff of Taylor . Obituary: Connie Mae Sanders 1924-2014 Connie Mae Sanders, 90 of Pensacola departed this life to join the Lord early 9, 2014. She was born 27, 1924 to Willis and Lemma (Trawick) Jones of Jay, FL. She married Roy Sanders on 19, 1938 and settled in to life as a devoted wife and proud mother to her four sons: Gene, Donald, Doyle and Lloyd. Connie was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years and two of her sons. She leaves to cherish her memory sons Donald (Jayne) Sanders and Lloyd Sanders, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was a member of The Church of Christ, Pensacola Blvd. Visitation will be held at Eastern Gate Memorial , 12th at 10:00am with funeral services following at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to Covenant Hospice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.easterngatememorial.com.
