Obituary: Celebrating the life of Fay P. Samuels ( 5, 1944 - 4, 2015) Fay P. Samuels departed this life for her eternal rest 4th at Holmes Regional Medical . Fay was born in Kingston, Jamaica to the loving parents of David and Lolita Hutchinson. finishing high school she moved to London, England and began work as a Nurse. Fay moved to Queens, New York in 1968 with her husband. She worked for Florence Nightingale in Manhattan. later moved to Palm Bay, Florida in 1997. She attended First Pentecostal Church of Palm Bay. Fay enjoyed taking annual cruises with her husband, decorating her home and spending quality time with family and friends. Fay will be mourned by her loving husband of fifty-one years Clinton Samuels; two sons Tray Samuels of Central Islip, NY and Steve Samuels of Queens, NY; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be held 20th at Fountainhead Chapel with visitation beginning at 10:00am and service to follow at 11:00am. |

Obituary: To Eleanor M. Samuels, the entire world was a stage. An expressive, optimistic, and uninhibited individual, she was a performer in the theater of life. To everyone around her, she seemed to be eternally happy, and she willingly shared that joy with anyone whose life she touched. For Eleanor, bringing out the best in any situation was as easy as offering a smile, a witty remark or the twinkle of an eye. And with just those simple gestures, she could evoke the most pleasant of emotions. Eleanor really mastered the art of living and had great fun in doing so. Her parents were Ronald and Zena McLymont. Eleanor was raised in Manchester, Jamaica. Even as a child, Eleanor had the ability to lift the spirits of all those around her. She was raised to be warm, caring and friendly. She couldn help but capture everyones attention. She was a fun loving person who loved to dance and in so doing, she succeeded in entertaining her entire family. Always a good playmate, Eleanor was easygoing and a joy to be around. She managed to lighten the mood wherever she was, even during family squabbles. She seemed to have a knack for bringing compromise and erasing tense situations around the house. Due to a generous dose of common sense, Eleanor managed to find a satisfying solution to basic problems. Eleanor was raised with seven siblings. She had five brothers, Winston, Garfield, Albert, Locksey and Calvin and two sisters Patricia and Tiny. Perhaps the reason Eleanor related so well to children was the fact that she never really completely grew up herself. The ability to be just a kid at heart helped her in raising her own children. Eleanor was blessed with three children, one daughter Karen and two sons Carlton and Leon. were also blessed with two grandchildren, Ramces and Alayah. Eleanor had the ability to focus her attention on the present moment. If she was spending time with the kids, thats where all of her attention was directed. Eleanors compassionate side prevented her from being a strict disciplinarian, and she could turn just about any situation into a playful, learning experience. She could spend hours entertaining them with fun and creative play. In fact, Eleanor had a knack for turning some of those nasty old chores into games. She is survived by her children, Karen, Carlton and Leon, her grandchildren Ramces and Alayah and her brothers and sisters Winston, Patricia, Garfield, Albert, Locksey, Calvin and Tiny. Services are being held at Forest Lawn South in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The viewing will be , 2, 2010 from 5-8 pm. Service will be , 3, 2010 at 1:30 pm. Eleanor will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Eleanor brought joy to all of those around her. She never had a mean bone in her body. She loved to have a good time and was an eternal optimist, always looking on the bright side of things. She loved to share her energy, wit, and her zest for all of her activities with her friends and family. Eleanor M. Samuels lived life to its fullest and made everyone around her happier just for knowing her. She will be remembered with a smile. |
