Obituary: James R. Rowles was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew his best, James will be remembered as a very exceptional person. James was born on 30, 1933, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and was raised in Pennsylvania. A typical teenager, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood, James graduated from Boiling Spring High School, Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania. James enjoyed his college years, which may have been a challenge with all of the academics, responsibilities, and the sudden freedom that accompanied them, but James was able to manage the balancing act. He earned his Construction Engineer degree from the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. On 14, 1981, James exchanged wedding vows at the Saint Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church with Concepcion B. Nierva, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Empathic and loyal, James was committed to making his new family happy. While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately this same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. James was blessed with one daughter, Susan. Another blessing for James was the gift of two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. James worked hard to be a good Father to his daughter and he did his best to fulfill her needs, raising her in a positive and nurturing environment. How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, James enjoyed what he did for a living. His primary occupation was Construction Engineer. Showing a strong work ethic, James worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career of ten years. Jamess memorable achievements included serving as Mayor of Millbourne, Pennsylvania, for one term with the Republican Party. Jamess faith was important to him. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. James enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were wood working crafts, renovating and repairing houses, hunting, fishing, boating, gardening and helping people. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others. Due to a circulation problem in his right leg, James passed away on 29, 2016 in San Diego, California. He is survived by his wife Concepcion B. Nierva Rowles, daughter Susan Glarr. He also leaves granddaughters Andrea and Lindsey, and great grandson Victor to cherish his memory. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary. A Visitation Service was held at the Little Chapel of the Roses, Bonita, California, , 5, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Catholic Mass of the Resurrection Service was held at Saint Michael Catholic Church, 2643 dale Street, San Diego, California, , 6, 2016 at 10:00 AM. James was laid to rest in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Simply stated, James was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. James leaves behind the legacy of a loving family, life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember him. |
