Obituary: MARJORIE MAE ROOT Marjorie, 89, was born on the family farm homestead in Correctionville, Iowa on 21, 1921 to Earl Castle and Florence (Gray) Castle. She graduated from Correctionville High School in 1939. She married Verlin R. Root and traveled to various locations during WWII. moved to California after the war and lived there until they returned to Iowa in 1958. Marjorie worked as a bookkeeper for Colonial Manors s in Sioux City, Iowa for 20 years and in 1983, after retiring, she returned to California to be near all her children and grandchildren. She passed away after a brief illness on 23, 2011 in Riverside, California. She is survived by her 3 children: William R. Root (wife Linda of Mission Viejo, CA, Robert Root (wife Lisa) of Ramona, CA and Robin Clark (husband Kirt) of Moreno Valley, CA. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Robin Root, Jeffrey Root, William C. Root, Jason Clark, Jeremy Clark and Megan Root and 3 great-grandchildren: Christian Root, Jared Root and Katie Root. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Cary Root, her parents and 3 siblings, Helen Greiner, Ned Castle and Shirley Hanson. Marge, as she was know by many, was a fun-loving woman who enjoyed spending time with family and friends above all else. We will always cherish the many wonderful years we had with our wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Friend.
