Obituary: Marianne passed peacefully with her family at her side on evening. She lived a wonderful 65 years, growing up and raising her family in Watsonville, California. To know Marianne was to love her. She made instant friends wherever she went, starting conversations that could last for hours. Her family brought her most joy, having unconditional love that was unmeasureable for her husband George and her children Lori and Michael. Just like St. Francis of Assisi her sweet, caring and affectionate disposition was shared with every person and animal that came her way. Her Labs Holly and Fritz found her while living in town on Sydney Ave, and her black lab Camper and German Sheppard Doggy-Dog quickly adopted mom as an owner at her home in Green Valley, knowing she would provide them with the best care possible. The most recent addition, our bloodhound Shackle would stay by her side in bed during the hard times of her sickness. While working at the Wells Fargo bank in Watsonville, Marianne met her husband George when he offered to build her a dog house. were married at Holy Eucharist Church in Corralitos on 6, 1983. The new family moved to Green Valley shortly after and was forever dedicated to her treasured area in the heart of an Apple Orchard. At home she enjoyed gardening, the visiting deer, Quail, Red-Tailed hawks, and loved to sit and listen to the sounds and smells of apple farming. Marianne thoroughly enjoyed the simple things in life such as dinners, movies, shopping, and spending quality time with her family. Marianne showed us how to love and enjoy the short time we have with each other. She could recognize quality in both people and products from food to kitchenware; to clothing and detergent from miles away. She was an excellent cook; entered baked goods and crafts in the county fair for many years. Above all, mom found most pleasures in immersing her children in all sorts of experiences. Every holiday was extra special with her. She taught us to get out and experience what the world has to offer from sightseeing to camping trips and to various gatherings like SOCCO bbqs. She was involved in Boy Scouts of America Troop 599 with her son Michael; helped him construct his gazebo Eagle project in Corralitos, and loved visiting Pico Blanco summer camp in Big Sur. Lori and Marianne had a great time attending concerts and shows including Chris Isaak, Juanes, Enrique and Julio Iglesias, Randy Travis, Alan Jackson, and Brooks & Dunn just to name a few. Her favorite listening was Dean martin, Frank Sinatra, and Anne Murrays Christmas Album. She was a recent member of the Corralitos Womens club and really enjoyed being reunited with friends and making new memories. Marianne will be deeply missed, and will forever be in our hearts while watching over us. She is now reunited with her parents John and May whom she missed very much. Her strong will and care is now needed somewhere else, but her bright smile and lasting impression will always be remembered. Love, Michael, Lori and George. Visitation services will be held on , 30, 2015 from 5:00-9:00 PM with a recitiation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. Mass will be celebrated on , 31, 2015 at Valley Catholic Church at 1:00 PM with burial to follow. |
