Obituary: Reno Raymond Renaldo, Jr., age 63, entered heavens gates from Vibra Hospital in San Diego California, on , at 1:47pm May 1st, 2015. The cause was complications risen by a massive stroke the evening of 28, 2015. Born 24, 1951, in Quantico, Virginia, to Virginia Baker and Reno Raymond Renaldo, Sr., he attended and graduated Oceanside High School of 1969 and then moved on to graduate with a degree in Real Estate from Mira Costa in of 1975. Reno, Jr. then served the Department of Corrections for the State of California for over 10 years until he was medically retired in the late 1980s. On 23, 1975 he married his Aloha Princess Magdalina Ponce. Reno, Jr. and Maggie lived in many different places along the coast of California, where he worked at various penitentiaries until retiring in the late 1980s. settled in sunny Oceanside, California. Reno, Jr. will be especially remembered for his strong faith in Jesus, his love for his bride, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, his quick wit, story telling and one liners. He had the tenaciousness that allowed him to achieve top rankings in Real Estate as well as in many diverse business endeavors. His wife, mother and father, his two sisters and his brother, his 5 children, his 16 grandchildren and his 4 great grandchildren survive him. Survivors by name; his wife of 39 years Magdalina Ponce Renaldo, his father and mother Reno, Sr. and Virginia Renaldo, his two sisters Ruth Gough and Renee Esten, his brother Ricky Uncle Buck Renaldo along with his 5 wonderful children. His eldest daughter Kathie Renaldo Bullion and her husband Travis and their three boys Nikolas Sayre his two boys Noah and Quinn, Cody Sayre, his boy Oliver, Nathan Sayre; his daughter Rena Roxanne Renaldo, her boy Anthony Berwager his wife Kayla Berwager their daughter Jacksyn Berwager, her daughter Deven Berwager, her daughter Alyssa Berwager, his eldest boy Reno Raymond Renaldo, III, his wife Debbi Lynn Edrington, their son Dillon Renaldo, their daughters, Taylor Renaldo, Bella Edrington-Renaldo, Graysen Edrington-Renaldo, Presley Edrington-Renaldo, his son Jason Nicholas Renaldo, the baby of the family his youngest daughter Kristain Renaldo-Trujillo and her husband Arthur Trujillo along with their 5 kids, their son Isaac Trujillo, Kiana Trujillo, Elijah Trujillo, Lydia Trujillo and Colette Trujillo. Services for his viewing will be held between 4 p.m.-8 p.m., , May 7th, 2015, at the Eternal Hills, 1999 S. El Camino Real, Oceanside, California. Church service will be held the following day , May 8th 2015 at 10 a.m. at Calvary Chapel Oceanside 3715 Oceanic Way, Oceanside, CA 92056 then following the church service he will be laid to rest at Eternal Hills Memorial Park located at 1999 S. El Camino Real, Oceanside, California. Relatives and friends are welcome at all services. Reception information will follow. Obituary: John James Renaker Sr., businessman and author, was born 26, 1915 and died 6, 2014. He died at home. A native Californian, John graduated from Monrovia High School and entered the University of California at Berkeley at age 17. While at Berkeley, he received his B.A. degree in English and met his future wife, Maxine Hagen, to whom he was married 66 years (until her death in 2003). Graduating at the depth of the Great Depression, John pursued a graduate degree in Library Science at UCLA and worked there as a librarian. By the time World War II began, John was the father of three and deferred; he worked as a draftsman at North American Aviation during the war. When peace was declared in 1945, John and Maxine, with the help of Maxine’s father Ole Hagen, started Hagen-Renaker Potteries. In the nearly 70 years since, Hagen-Renaker has gained a world-wide reputation for finely-crafted, miniature ceramic figurines. In the 1970s, John expanded the business to include a wholesale nursery division, which led him to move to Encinitas, California where he lived for over 40 years. In the 1980s, John began to combine his lifelong interest in science and politics by writing a book on nuclear deterrence. Inspired by Stanley Kubric’s film “Dr.Strangelove,” his book, Dr.Strangelove and the Hideous Epoch: Deterrence in the Nuclear Age was published in 2000. He went on to write a series of essays on science entitled Once More Into the Deja Vu: Essays on Ecology, which was published in 2006. John is survived by his four children: John James Renaker Jr., David George Renaker, Susan Renaker Nikas, and Mary Renaker Brazel; his two daughters-in-law: Freya Renaker and Joyce Renaker; and his son-in-law, Eric Brazel. In addition, John is survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was blessed in later years to have a dedicated housekeeper and caregiver, Carolina Hernandez. In the last ten years of his life, Lydia Balleza also helped him as a nighttime caregiver. He was beloved by his family and friends and will be sorely missed by all. |
