Obituary: Jacoba Eva Pomar Rebong was born on May 31, 1930 in Tumauini, Isabela, Philippines to Casimiro Pomar and Vicenta Baquiran. At the age of 16, she married Rufino Oca Rebong after the Philippine Liberation in World War 2. During their first few years of marriage, Jacoba or "Eva" appeared in a few Sampaguita Picture Movies. Eventually, she decided to focus on her family. While being a housewife, Jacoba ran several family businesses such as Top's Cut Tailoring, The Rebong Family Cattle Ranch, The R&R Liner Public Transportation, and Residential Rentals. She immigrated to the United States in 1984, and first settled in New York. In 1989, she permanently resided in San Jose, California. Above all, Jacoba selflessly put her family first. The dedication she had to raise her family, inspired her children to carry that on to their own families. On 13, 2016, she reunited with Rufino and her beloved sister, Petronila. Jacoba is survived by her children Antonio and his wife Norie, Casey, Kenneth and his wife Marie, Arlene and her husband Pietro, George and his wife Wilma, Ronald and his wife Eppie. She will be missed deeply as she was a loyal Grandmother to Dennis, Martioni, Alexa, Joyce, Rheane, Michael, Jastine, Angelica, Kevin, Matthew, and great grandmother to Mikel, Sean, and Naomi. under the direction of Lima Family Milpitas-Fremont Mortuary, Fremont, CA. |
