Obituary: Jack Donal Ruth, 88, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather passed away peacefully on Sept 8, 2013. A funeral service will be held Sept 15 at 1pm in the LDS Stake (34815 Weyerhaeuser Way South Federal Way, WA 98003) there will be a viewing from 11:30am - 1pm prior to the service. Jack was born Oct 19 1924 in Electra, Texas the second child, of Cyrus and Lara Ruth. His early years were spent in Texas and New Mexico. He and his family moved to the Seattle area in 1956. Jack worked for Boeing for a total of 40 years, the last 10 he was a lead-man in his shop at the Auburn Plant. retiring Jack and Bibs moved to Malaga, Washington returning to Federal Way 4 years ago. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Dolores Bibs Ruth, daughter, Virginia Jenne Johnson and husband Scott, son, Blair Ruth and wife, Susie; Daughter-in-law, Christine Ruth widow of son Michael Ruth, Terry Schooler and husband, Joe, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; sister Dorothy Milan; brother, Virl Ruth and wife, Jan; Sister-in-law, Kathryn Wright; brother-in-law, John Wright and wife, Billie; and numerous nieces and nephews His parents, Cyrus and Lara Ruth; son, Michael Ruth, sister, Tina Powell, and great-grandson, Thomas Ramero preceded Jack in death. Burial will be at the National in Covington. Obituary: Billie Dolores "Bibs" Wright Ruth went to be with her Heavenly Father Feb. 5, 2016. She was born Sept.14, 1930 in Bivins Station, Moore , Texas, where she attended school, graduating from Dumas High. She married Jack Donal Ruth in 1947 and moved to Renton in 1956, when Jack took a job with Boeing. An excellent cook, when not working at JC Penny one of her favorite activities was to make cookies with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A gifted artist, she did beautiful arts and crafts and crochet pieces, and blankets for each grandchild, great-grandchild, and children of friends and neighbors. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints as long as her health allowed, she loved life and enjoyed visiting with everyone and had many friends at the Village Green Retirement where she lived the past seven years. Bibs is survived by her son, Jack Blair (Susie) Ruth and daughter Jenne (Scott) Johnson; sister, Kathryn Wright; brother, John (Billie) Wright, and daughter-in-law, Christine Ruth; grandchildren Rebecca (Bill) Smith, Peggy (David) Frakes, Kathryn Ruth, Tami (Andy) Romero, Brittaney (William) Mock, Zachary Johnson, Adam Johnson, Ceirra Johnson, Denelle (Matthew) Montifusco, Matthew (Britta) Beach, and David (Davicia) Van Der Venter; great-grandchildren Jack, Max, and Ella Smith; Abigale and Tyler Frakes; Ellie and Penelope Romero; Zoia Van Der Venter; Mariana, Luca, and Delia Montifuco; Emmeline, Charlotte, Gabriella, Thaddeus, and Gideon Beach. Obituary: MARGIT AILEEN (LONG) RUSTVOLD 18, 1948 ~ 29, 2017 On Tues., Aug. 29, 2017, Margit Aileen (Long) Rustvold passed away peacefully at 69 years young of an aggressive form of cancer. She was born and raised in Aberdeen, WA to Robert J. Long and Aileen M. (Rath) Long, the third of four daughters. Margit dearly loved her sisters, Diane (Peter) Dawson of Dallas, TX, Janet (Mike) Krulich of Bloomington, MN and Mary Kathrine Long (James Wade) of Portland, OR. Margit attended Aberdeen High School, graduating in 1966. She attended Grays Harbor for two years where she received her Bachelors degree in Teaching at Central Washington University in 1970, and obtained a Masters degree in Reading Specialty from Washington State University in 1986. Margit was a dedicated educator and worked tirelessly serving hundreds of students in the Evergreen Public Schools for 39 years, beginning in 1970. She began her career teaching 4th and 5th grade and continued for 13 years at Orchards, Marion, and Fircrest elementary schools. obtaining her Masters degree, she served as a Reading Specialist for reading recovery at Fircrest, Hearthwood and Crestline elementary schools. For the last two years of her career she taught, before her year 2000 retirement, 1st grade at Mill Plain Elementary School. In 2000, Margit retired from 30 years of teaching but continued to work as a substitute teacher in the district. At that time felt she just wasn finished educating students, so she returned to reading specialty and eventually served as a Professional Development Specialist, mentoring and assisting her colleagues in expanding their abilities in the classroom. She also served for two years as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Education for WSU-Vancouver. Margit finally retired from teaching in 2009. She was an active member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church and enjoyed trips with Daryle to Cannon Beach and events at the Bethany Vineyard and Winery and also Gouger Winery; but spending time with all her family meant the most to her. ~ She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. ~ Margit is survived by her husband of 39 years, Daryle Rustvold of Vancouver, WA; and her two daughters: Tina Smith of Fife, WA and Marion (Matt) Lansdon of Vancouver. She was a loving and devoted grandmother to six grandchildren: Austin, Katelynn, Colin and Matthew Lansdon; and Tori and Lauren Smith; and loved her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, nephews and godchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Aileen; and her grandchild, Colin. A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for Sat., Sept. 9 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Andrews Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, Margit requested donations to either St. Andrew Lutheran Church, American Cancer Society-Relay For Life, or other charity of your choice.
