Obituary: Constance (Connie) Roe was born in Great Falls Montana 12/8/1922. She was the daughter of Dr Leroy Labbitt and Elizabeth Dunn Labbitt, sister to Lawrence and Betty Jane Labbitt. She attended Cottey in Missouri for two years and transferred to the University OF Washington, where she received her BA in Economics in 1945. Connie pledged Alpha Chi Omega and met Robert Warren Roe, a Sigma Nu at the UW. married on 21, 1947 and had four children: Barbara Roe Trochim (Gig Harbor WA ), Patty Roe Robbins (San Diego CA), Sally Roe (deceased) and Russ Roe (Kenmore WA). Connie was loved by her six grandchildren ~ Juli, Robbie, Katie, Jasmine, Nicole and Kaylee. Connie was a member of PEO and served as Board President for several years. She remained an active member of the DO Chapter into her 80s. She was also very involved with the University Congregational Church, teaching school and volunteering in the office under Dr Dale Turner. She served as Corporation President for Alpha Chi Omega and remained an integral member of her sorority. Connie volunteered for numerous charities including the Seattle Blood Bank and Cystic Fibrosis. In 2005, Connie moved out of her home in Wedgwood, into the Aegis Retirement and in 2008 she moved into Spring Estates Assisted Living in Kenmore. She passed away peacefully on Easter at Spring Estates. Connie will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. She was a loving Wife, a wonderful Mother, a cherished Grandmother and a loyal friend. under the direction of Acacia Memorial Park & , Seattle, Washington. |

Obituary: Beverly Roe, 77, of Bremerton, WA passed away 25, 2015. She was born 28, 1938 to John and Louise Martin in Bellingham, WA. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Roe, and her parents, John T. Martin and Louise (Heggem) Martin. She is survived by her daughters, Luanne Alvord (Ronald) and Diane Roe, and her son, Ronald Roe. She is also survived by her brother, John Martin, grandchildren, Michelle Saunders (Jeremy), Erin Clemmer (Brian), and John Roe (Paige), Jennifer Alvord, Jana Alvord, and Jodi Tietz (Kenny), and several great-grandchildren, Abbie Tietz, Bailey Roe, Logan Tietz, Nathan Clemmer, Logan Roe, Olivia Clemmer, Thaddeus Saunders, and Magnus Saunders. Beverly grew up in Bellingham, Washington and graduated in 1956 from Bellingham High School. She married into the military in 1957, and spent the next 15 years moving from duty station to duty station with her husband and children, eventually moving to Bremerton once her husband retired. Bremerton has been home for the last 40 years. During her life, she worked as a keypunch operator (data input) at the San Francisco Naval Base at Hunters Point, Coronado Naval Air Base, Western Washington University, The Bellingham Herald, and the Blaine border crossing. moving to Bremerton, she became a para-educator for Bremerton School District and spent a good deal of her years at the district working at West High Library. She enjoyed her job because of the students. She would still talk about her time there and some of the students she got to work with. She had a special heart for the teen moms, having been a teen mom herself, at the school and would listen to them and allowed the library to be sanctuary. For the last several years she has been involved in the Bremerton Court of Amaranth, which focuses on raising funds for diabetic research. This past year she was elected to be Royal Matron of the court. The day she was installed as Royal Matron was a highlight for her. She looked radiant that day in her beautiful red dress. Beverly definitely loved her great-grandchildren and spent a lot of time with those living near her in Bremerton. Bailey and Logan had many sleepovers at Grandma Sweethearts home. (All the grandchildren and great-grandchildren referred to her as Grandma Sweetheart) Her great-grandson, Thaddeus, also came to stay for several weeks this past summer. Beverly was thrilled to have him staying with her and Diane. Fortunately, she was also able to meet her newest great-grandson, Magnus, when she flew back to New Hampshire this past for a visit. Beverly loved to dance and was light on her feet. When she was younger, she would put Eddie Arnold on and dance around the house as she cleaned. She had a bit of a crush on Eddie. Even now house cleaning and music will always be tied together. Also Beverly could sleep anywhere and anytime. Once she fell asleep playing a board game at a family gathering, and we would wake her up when it was her turn; then she would fall right back to sleep until her next turn. Disneyland was one of her favorite places. When living in California during the 1960s and early 1970s, Beverly visited Disneyland so many times weve lost count. Shes taken some of her grandchildren and great-children to Disneyland, and in the last year took a trip there with her daughter, Diane, and great-grandchildren Bailey and Logan. She was always up for a trip to Disneyland. A few years ago, Beverly made a cross-country trip with her daughter, Diane, and was able to experience so much of what our country has to offer. She always intended to take a trip to Norway, as her mothers ancestors were from Norway, but her first priority was to plan another cross-country trip because there were so many states and things see right here in America. She also made trips to New Hampshire to visit her granddaughter Michelle and family, and just last year traveled to Bali with a group of friends. Along with other hobbies, like traveling, knitting, needle work, bingo, and reading, she loved collecting owls, and had a huge collection that took over almost every display area in her home. Beverly had owls in just about any configuration you could image. Additionally, she loved to collect Santa decorations for Christmas. As a child, she was a faithful school attendee and according to her brother, she would drag him there every as well, which he is now grateful for. When her children were young, no matter where the family lived, she would make sure that they attended school regularly. We are also thankful she did this. Beverly knew Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. We can rest assured that she is now in heaven with Him, and one day, on that day, we will see her again. Beverly will be remembered with love by her family and friends. Services will be held at Tahoma National on 15, 2015 at 1:15 p.m. |

Obituary: Jerry Rody Was born in Tacoma, Washington on 12, 1936, and went to be with his Lord on 6, 2015 at the age of 78. He was raised in Tacoma, Washington, and was in the first graduating class of Franklin Pierce High School, where he received a full football scholarship to PLU. Instead of college, he joined the family business, E.J. Rody & Sons Construction, where he worked for over 40 years. Along with his "day job," Jerry always had side businesses going. He was a property developer along with several other endeavors like S & J rentals homes - to say Jerry was a hard worker is an understatement. Although Jerry grew up in church, he went his own way for a time until his brother Don invited him and his new wife Sharon to church at Faith Temple in Tacoma. From that time on, he never wavered in his faith, and was active in church most all his life. an early retirement, he and Sharon enjoyed their antique business, lake cabin, motor home, and vintage trailer meets, making many lasting friendships along the way. Jerry was widely known for his generosity, as well as his ability to never meet a stranger. His fun nature and sense of humor will never be forgotten by all who knew him. Jerry is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Sharon, son Blane Rody (Stephanie), daughter Sue Zimmerman (Chuck), daughter Paige Sherman, and grandkids Savannah Shaw (Jeremy), McKenzie Zimmerman, Kelly McCann (Matt), Chris Sherman, Melissa Fritz (Bill), Alea Sapp (Joe), and Austin Rody, and great-grandkids Hunter and Taylor McCann, and Colter Sapp. Family members who graduated to heaven before Jerry are his parents, John and Mary Rody, stepmother Esther Rody, brother Don Rody, nephew Doug Rody, and his special cousin and buddy Harold Rody. His family are excited to extend an invitation to celebrate a life well lived on , 14th, at Champions Centre, 1819 E 72nd St. in Tacoma, at 3pm. Obituary: Thomas Alan Rodvelt, of Puyallup, WA, passed away peacefully at the age of 63 on , 1, 2013, after complications from his long battle with Chronic Leukemia. Born 11, 1950 in Tacoma, WA to Turner and Violet Rodvelt, he lived in the Puget Sound area his entire life. Tom was a devoted family man whose joyful laugh could fill the room.
