Obituary: Wilmer (Kay) Robins Wilmer (Kay) Robins, 89, died May 4, 2010, from causes incident to age. Born 19, 1921, in Eden, Weber , Utah, to Everett and Marba Ann Ferrin Robins. Kay was educated in the Ogden City Schools and graduated from Weber State . He served honorably in the Army Air Corps during WWII, where he was part of the crews assigned to transport injured military to their home states. Kay retired from Geneva Steel after more than 30 years of service. On 16, 1958, Kay was united with his eternal companion, Eloise Jean Kohler Robins, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. lived in Provo, Utah, for 38 years before moving to Legacy Retirement and Assisted Living s in Salt Lake City. Kay and Eloise also had a home in Midway, Utah. Kay was a loving, devoted husband, and spent countless hours helping Eloise in humanitarian projects. He was a talented carpenter and maintained a well-equipped wood shop. A faithful, lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kay spent his retirement years in Temple service. Kay is survived by his wife, Eloise, and her surviving siblings. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Bill Robins, Bill’s wife, Jeri; and nephew, Michael Robins. The family expresses gratitude for the countless hours of care given to Kay by Haven Hospice, the loving employees of Legacy House, Carla Watts Christensen, a niece and other caring family and friends. services will be held at 11:00 AM, , May 12, 2010, at the Midway Utah 1st Ward chapel [200 South 250 East]. Obituary: Richard Watt Robins Richard Watt Robins, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away while surrounded by his family on 5, 2008, in Cedar Hills, Utah. He was born 29, 1922, in Layton, Utah, to Royal and Isabell Robins. He married Maurine Jensen on 23, 1944, in the Salt Lake Temple, and they are now reunited as eternal sweethearts. Dad loved the Lord, his family, and his country, and dedicated his life to serving others. He served in Europe as a member of the 69th Infantry Division in WWII. He worked in education for 40 years as an industrial arts teacher, elementary school principal, and supervisor of student teachers. As well as being a great husband, father and grandfather, Richard served in many church callings, including Bishop, Bishops Counselor, Clerk, High Councilor, and MTC Branch President. Dad loved serving with Mom, and together they served in BYU Student Ward leadership, at the Missionary Training , and as temple workers at both the Provo and Mt. Timpanogos temples. Perhaps their most cherished calling together was when they served as full-time missionaries at the Joseph Smith in Palmyra, New York. Richards children are Kathleen Jex (Jim), Alpine, Connie Worlton (Doug), Lehi, Richard K. (Robyn), Cedar Hills, Clyde J. (Karla), Layton, Alan L. (Wendy), Pleasant Grove. Richard has had a profound influence on his 23 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maurine, a sister Clara Talbot, and brothers Charles and Lee. services will be held on , 12, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the Hillcrest 1st Ward Chapel, 1450 South 800 East, Orem, Utah. Obituary: Maurine Jensen Robins Maurine Jensen Robins, sweet wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away while surrounded by her family on 2, 2007, in Cedar Hills, Utah. She was born 11, 1921, in Mantua, Utah to Aaron and Millie Nielsen Jensen. She married Richard W. Robins on 23, 1944, in the Salt Lake Temple, and they have been true sweethearts for 63 years. She loved the Lord and her family, and dedicated her life to serving others. As well as being a wonderful wife and mother, Maurine served in various church callings, including Relief Society President and in Jr. School. Obituary: Kenneth Layton Robins passed away on 5, 2009, at his home in Spanish Fork, Utah in the presence of his wife and family after an extended battle with leukemia. Ken was born on May 2, 1932, in Ogden Utah to Leonard Alder Robins and Alice Marie Layton. He was educated in the Ogden City Schools where both of his parents worked as teachers. He graduated from Ogden High School in 1950. He attended Weber where he focused his studies in the area of electronics. At the end of his second year of college, Ken was drafted into the United States Army. He entered the service on Aug. 9, 1952 at Fort Douglas, Ut. He served as a member of the Sixth Signal Corp at Paso Robles, Ca., the Ninth Signal Corp at Fort Monmouth, NJ and as a trainer for Operation Swordfish personnel at Fort Hood, Tx. He was honorably discharged from the Army on 10, 1954. completing his military service, Ken received a call to serve as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Western States Mission headquartered in Billings, Montana. Upon completion of his missionary service, Ken enrolled at Brigham Young University, where he met his sweetheart, Carol Martell. were married in the Salt Lake Temple on 3, 1960. went on to raise three sons. In 1962, Ken began his career as an insurance agent. He worked for the Utah Fire Rating Bureau, Kolob Corporation, Central Utah Insurance Agency, Fred S. James, Co and Insurance Services Co. In 1987, Ken relocated to Kent, Washington to pursue opportunities selling computers and software for Computer City and Comp USA. In 2004, Ken and Carol returned to Utah to be closer to their children and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with them and getting reacquainted with lifelong friends in Utah Valley. He was thrilled when the windmills were built in Spanish Fork and loved watching them. Ken was dedicated in his service to his Father in Heaven. He served in various positions but truly enjoyed his opportunities to serve as an ordinance worker in the Seattle and Provo temples. He served for almost 20 years in the temple. Ken is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Kenneth M. Robins (Tammie) of Mountain , Idaho, Delbert M. Robins (Marianna) of Spanish Fork, Utah, Alan M. Robins (Veronica) of Saratoga Springs, Utah; nine grand children; and a brother, David L. Robins of Colorado Springs, Co. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Edward L. Robins, formerly of Ogden, Utah. services will be held on , 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Canyon Ridge Stake ; 989 S. 2550 E., Spanish Fork, UT. Obituary: Eloise Jean Kohler Robins Eloise Jean Kohler Robins, 87, beloved Aunt Ellie, sister, friend, and colleague, died Dec. 7, 2011, at Sandy and Rehab in Salt Lake City, Utah, from causes incident to age. Born May 1, 1924, in Midway, Wasatch , Utah, Eloise was the third child of 13 children, of Albert F. and Elsie Richards Kohler. Eloise attended Midway Grade School and graduated from both Wasatch High School and Wasatch High School LDS Seminary. In 1949 she graduated from Brigham Young University. On 16, 1958, Eloise married W. Kay Robins, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. lived in Provo for 38 years before moving to Legacy Retirement in Salt Lake City. Kay and Eloise also had a home in Midway, Utah. The Robins were never blessed with children, but Eloise will be missed by many nieces and nephews and hundreds of students she mothered as their kindergarten school teacher. Eloise had a beautiful soprano singing voice and freely shared her talent through solos and as a part of numerous school, church, and community singing groups, including The Kohler Sisters. At Legacy she organized a group of singers who sang together each evening. Eloise was blessed with an unwavering testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and was a lifelong, active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She earned the Golden Gleaner Award and many Individual and Leader Awards. She served 18 months as an LDS Missionary in the North Central States Mission. retirement she served as a Church Service Missionary at the Mission Training in Provo. Eloise was employed as a school teacher for 38 years. She was awarded Teacher of the Day by KSL Radio, and in 1977 was named Utahs Teacher of the Year. In 1998 Eloise was given the Outstanding Emeriti Alumni Award from Brigham Young University. Eloise was keenly aware of the needs of others and was tireless in philanthropic endeavors. The poor in Mexico, Utah State Prison, Utah Training School, Utah State Mental Hospital, and the Primary Childrens Hospital all recognized her contributions. She received the Utah Mental Award for Meritorious Service, and while Relief Society President of her Provo Ward, the Relief Society Sisters were awarded the first Child Advocate Award given to a group by the Utah Valley Hospital for their Teddy Bear Project. Eloise is survived by her brother Richard (LouAnn) Circuit, LaJolla, CA, and sisters: Barbara (Joe) Christensen, Salt Lake; Kathy (Ben) Lindsay, Bountiful; Zelda Isaksen, Midway; Elizabeth (Dee) Ritchie, Pleasant View; and Margaret (Bill) Hyde, Yuma, AZ; sisters-in-law Phyllis and Monica Kohler, Midway, Utah. She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Elsie Kohler, brothers: LeRoy Kohler, Melvin Kohler, and Alvah Kohler, and sisters: Glenna Kohler, Marion Yost, and Anna Lynn Howell. Services for Eloise Jean Kohler Robins will be held , Dec. 10, 2011, 12:00 noon, at the Midway Second Ward Church, 1060 South Street, Midway, Utah.
